Stars of the Week
REMOTE LEARNING
We are incredibly impressed by how hard everyone is working at
home and we know that it is not easy. We are continuing to follow
the same curriculum so it is important that children engage with all
the lessons.
At Monega we are using recorded videos so that you can go back
and watch them again.
The lesson boards that the children look at during online learning
presentations will be very familiar to them.
When watching lesson presentations, children can make notes or
lists, rewind and re-watch or pause and take breaks in order to help
them retain as much information as possible.
We have a google live meet each week for pupils.
We have an assembly each week
We have a parent drop in each week.
This morning, Miss Rullo met up with her class via Google Meets.
During the meeting, Miss Rullo revealed her Star of the Week. This
was a great opportunity for the children to stay in touch with each
other. They chatted about their learning and shared tips about
keeping healthy. All teachers will be arranging weekly meeting with
their classes.
Do you know your classroom
poem?
Remembering your core skills
There are some very important skills that you must remember to rehearse every single day:
Handwriting, Reading and Times tables
Even though you are at home, prizes and certificates will still be awarded.
From Monday to Friday next week, Mr Coman and Mrs Amarasinghe will be monitoring activity on Times Table Rock Stars. Please make sure that you log in and practise as much as possible.
There will be a prize for the most active class.
Look at these amazing images of what Monega pupils have been doing at home!
