Dear Heim Families
Our students seemed to enjoy their first month of the school year and are quickly acclimating to the classroom routines It is wonderful to see so many smiling faces throughout the day
The month of October will be a busy one In addition to field trips and assembly programs starting we have several other events this month
School pictures will be taken on Monday October 2nd There will be an emergency drill on Friday October 6th
Students will be dismissed 15 minutes early that day (Continued on reverse side)

Message From Your PTA President
Wow What a great start to the school year
So far this year wersquove had a record-setting fundraiser (thank
you to every parent and member who made our Buffalorsquos
Best fundraiser exceed all our expectations) an incredible
Boo Hoo Breakfast a super-fun Wellness Welcome Night
and one of our best attended PTA meetings Irsquove ever seen
We had fifty parents and about 30 children attend our first PTA meeting The kids all jumped and danced and worked
out with the Little Gym Parents got to know Nany Fultz and the Wellness Program better learned about how the PTA
spends money and got to contribute their voices to future
meetings
We also heard that our membership is flying with a NYS-
recognized number of Dads and men becoming members
If you arenrsquot a Heim PTA member yet please make sure your
whole family becomes members this month
At our November meeting wersquore welcoming Dr Martzloff to talk with parents He will offer a short presentation and have an open forum questionanswer session as well
During this time Young Engineers will spend the hour with your kids in the Library building kinetic Lego projects
Please everyone support our current fundraiser the
Kidstuff books We earn 50 on every book sold If you do not plan to purchase please return the books to school
with your child by 1027 Also please attend our November
meeting and please keep looking for ways to volunteer

Annual Wellness Night
This was our third year starting off the school year with ldquoWellness Nightrdquo
Each year our goal is to bring the Heim Community together for the
opportunity to connect with other parents and students This year we added food trucks and fun activities and held the entire event outside We had wonderful weather and were able to take advantage of the extra sunlight to enjoy the Heim Playground for the entire event We
also had a special guest appearance of Hero our husky mascot For some it was like seeing an old friend and for our new students and families they got to meet him for the first time This was by far our best attended wellness event and we had over 200 people in attendance We
hope you had an opportunity to join us and if not keep your eye out for more opportunities to join in on the fun A big thank you to the Hein Faculty and PTA for helping with this great event

Annual Wellness Night
This was our third year starting off the school year with ldquoWellness Nightrdquo
Each year our goal is to bring the Heim Community together for the
opportunity to connect with other parents and students This year we added food trucks and fun activities and held the entire event outside We had wonderful weather and were able to take advantage of the extra sunlight to enjoy the Heim Playground for the entire event We
also had a special guest appearance of Hero our husky mascot For some it was like seeing an old friend and for our new students and families they got to meet him for the first time This was by far our best attended wellness event and we had over 200 people in attendance We
hope you had an opportunity to join us and if not keep your eye out for more opportunities to join in on the fun A big thank you to the Hein Faculty and PTA for helping with this great event

Wow What a great start to the school year
So far this year wersquove had a record-setting fundraiser (thank
you to every parent and member who made our Buffalorsquos
Best fundraiser exceed all our expectations) an incredible
Boo Hoo Breakfast a super-fun Wellness Welcome Night
and one of our best attended PTA meetings Irsquove ever seen
We had fifty parents and about 30 children attend our first PTA meeting The kids all jumped and danced and worked
out with the Little Gym Parents got to know Nany Fultz and the Wellness Program better learned about how the PTA
spends money and got to contribute their voices to future
meetings
We also heard that our membership is flying with a NYS-
recognized number of Dads and men becoming members
If you arenrsquot a Heim PTA member yet please make sure your
whole family becomes members this month
At our November meeting wersquore welcoming Dr Martzloff to talk with parents He will offer a short presentation and have an open forum questionanswer session as well
During this time Young Engineers will spend the hour with your kids in the Library building kinetic Lego projects
Please everyone support our current fundraiser the
Kidstuff books We earn 50 on every book sold If you do not plan to purchase please return the books to school
with your child by 1027 Also please attend our November
