From the Editor
What a start to Motor racing
at the Superbikes. It would
have been great to have been
there. Would love to hear
some stories of anyone who
did get to attend at Philip
Island.
Moto GP is finally here.
Qatar where they race in the
dark.
If you have been following
all the team changes it is
certainly going to be a great
season.
The weather has been fickle
for riding but if you have a
story to share, I would love to
hear from you
Stay safe
Gail

Harold’s Hello – Presidents
Report
Hello Members,
I hope life is treating you ok and
that your motorcycles are being
ridden as often as you can manage.
Well we seem to have dodged
cyclone OMA thank goodness!
Great pity that we had to
postpone our W.A.R. ride to
Clifton, however at the time the
cyclone sure looked like it was
dropping in for a visit.
We had good numbers of
members going along for this
weekend of fun and I hope that you
will all join me again for it when it
happens in April.
The weather should be a bit cooler
then anyway so that's a plus.
Speaking of our bimonthly Movie and Pool nights at our Clubhouse, we really need More
numbers to attend these social functions so they can continue.
So, if you have some spare time on these Wednesday nights come along please.
Also, folks we need volunteers to cook our Bikers Breakfast each first Saturday of the month.
If you can do this once or so during the year that would be most helpful and there are plenty
of people who shall assist you on the day.
You would only have to cook on the barby the others will help you set up and also to clean up.
If you can assist us with this, please contact myself or any of our Committee members.
AS you know we have a Committee meeting at the Clubhouse every month on the 3rd
Wednesday night at 7 pm. and all members are welcome to attend these meetings to see how
your Club works etc.

I'm extremely happy to report we have been getting a good number of new members and
potential members so far this year.
This is great for many reasons plus new people can mean new ideas and different ways of
doing things for our Club to continue to prosper.
So, members if you know anyone who may like to come along for a ride with us sometime
with a view to becoming a member, please let them know about our great Club.
Once again Carol and Murray, you have your Club members Best Wishes for a good recovery,
may you both be with us again ASAP!
Ok members take it easy and I shall see you at the Clubhouse for a ride soon.
RIDE SAFE FOREVER. Harold Park.

Wayne’s WWW Column for March
Hi Members,
Wayne here. Well, OMA, the cyclone has
come and gone. A pity we decided to
cancel the WAR (Weekend Away Ride)
but it was better to be safe than sorry. It is
rescheduled for April 27th & 28th.
I guess the threat of rain and winds kept
nearly everyone away from our Saturday
23rd ride. We had just 4 enthusiasts,
Harold, Chris, me and Kim, a member to
be. We had a lovely sunny ride through
Springbrook to the Flying Bean, no rain,
no wind.
Hey, we had 7 members at our pool night
on February 13th. We had a few good
games. Chris and I got thrashed by Harold
and Kevin.
And we had just 4 Norton Commandos on
Sunday 17th. Remember the 3rd Sunday is
a club ride for anyone. You don’t have to
have a Norton, come on a scooter, a Harley
or even tail end Charlie on a Yamaha R1.
I must put in a good word about the
Australian Motor Cycle News magazine
that our club gets delivered. It’s always at
the club on the table. This month’s issue is
great. There is a write up on Toby Price
winning the 2019 Dakar rally, the new
Triumph Scrambler 1200 models and new
Rocket Three TFC and the TFC Bonneville
Thruxton 1200. TFC stands for Triumph
Factory Custom. There’s a new Harley
FXDR, the URAL side car and best of all
on page 70 a big write up on Valentino
Rossi’s empire in Tavullia. This includes
his multi- million-dollar business and the
RV46 rider’s academy. It’s just a fantastic
read.
There’s a lot coming up this year, we’ll
keep you posted. By the way, Carol
Russell and Murray Kehely are recovering
well from their accidents. We all wish
them a full recovery.
Stay upright.
Wayne. .
