State-Based Summary of Survey ResponsesAs a means to better understand the effect that the
MEP Centers have on the economy, the centers
administer a common survey to their clients on how the
companies have benefited through increased sales,
employment, and investment as well as reduced
production costs.
When the survey was administered in federal fiscal
2016, slightly more than 6,500 companies responded.
Their responses were aggregated and used as inputs
into the Regional Economic Models, Inc. (REMI)
economic impact model to estimate the impacts from
the collective centers on the U.S. economy.
