Our carersNeighbourhood Care

• At least one years experience

• ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ at inspection

• NVQ 3 Childcare qualification and part of Quality Assurance network

• Approved for overnight care

Ofsted• Childminders registered

on both the Early Years register (0-8) and the voluntary part of the Childcare register (9-18)

• Unit 1 of The Diploma in Home Based Childcare

• Paediatric First Aid certificate

• CRB on all household members over 16

• A safe and enabling environment

Section 17 vs Section 20Section 17(6)

Family SupportThe services provided by a local authority in the exercise of functions conferred upon them by this section may include providing accommodation, giving assistance in kind or, in exceptional circumstances, in cash.

Section 20(1)• There being no person

who has parental responsibility for him;

• His being lost or abandoned;

• The person who has been caring for him being prevented (whether or not permanently, and for whatever reason) from providing him with suitable accommodation and or care.
