The Neil Hudgell Solicitors Trust Sensory Garden journey ..........

Back in December last year, we applied for funding from the Neil Hudgell Solicitors Trust for a Sensory Garden for Densholme Care Farm. Our aim was to provide a stimulating yet peaceful area for our clients and visitors for years to come and to involve them in its creation. We were over the moon in February when we heard that we had been successful in our bid! Then the fun began .......

How the area used to look.....

Willow planted and path marked out.

Thank you Veolia for laying the path, it took a lot of hard work and biscuits!

Thank you Paul for the donation of the water feature and gravel!

After a wet and cold spring, we thought the plants would never be ready to put out, but they were (on another wet and cold day!)

All this wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of :- Jo and Andrea at the Neil Hudgell Solicitors Trust. Leigh North of Hull and East Yorkshire Community Foundation Ltd. Veolia Environmental Services, who donated the labour for the laying of the pathway. Paul Sundborg, for the generous donation of the water feature and gravel. Dave Foster of Woods of Hornsea and his staff for the donation of the bench and for all their help and advice. Steve Bromley, Worklink Sewerby, for his advice on all things green. Last, but not least, all our clients, volunteers, visitors and staff who have given their ideas, time, muscles and creative talents to make this dream a reality!
