● The brain, the spinal cord, and nerves.

● The Central Nervous System, the Peripheral Nervous System, and Autonomic Nervous System.

The Brain

● The brain is the most important part of the nervous system.

● It has areas for memory, hearing, taste, balance, speech, sensory, motoring, and eye movement.

Function of the Nervous System

● Directs other organs to do there job right.

● Enables you to feel, move, see, smell, taste, hear, talk, learn, remembering, and other movements.

● Sends messages to other organs and systems.

Ways you can damage your Nervous System

● You can damage your Nervous System by:

● Welding Fumes● Lead● A head injury● A stroke● Diabetes● long term use of

alcohol or illegal drugs.

Keep your Nervous System Safe

● Drink lots of water● Don't Smoke!!!!● Get enough of

vitamin B6 and B12 and folic acids

● Exercise ● Eat healthy foods

such as, fish, fruits and vegetables
