Cuoco Black is a design academic, interior designer, entrepreneur and natural bodybuilder. He's a former faculty member and holds a BFA with Distinction, and a Professional Design Diploma, from the New York School of Interior Design, ranked 4th in the World for superior interior design curriculum's by US News and World Report. Cuoco Black is additionally the designer of the Experimental Cocktail Club, Paris France, rated one of the top 20 Bars in the world by foodandwine.com.

Everyone knows the drill... market your club using traditional advertising mediums of print, radio and now social media. Getting eyes on your brand is the name of the game and what better way to do so then by going with a BIG idea and a marketing campaign to promote your facility. The Source Fitness center in ST Clairsville Ohio is capitalizing on their "Superhero" logo and promoting their opening as a Hollywood extravaganza initiated with a movie poster themed social media post. It's brilliant for sure, but what lies ahead is is a "Red Carpet" advertising campaign for their fall grand opening complete with search lights, limousines, and yes, the red carpet. Gym Lighting Design Techniques This before and after image of our client's brand, VP Fitness, illustrates our belief that if at all possible you should substitute HID or fluorescent lighting which creates washed out and unflattering lighting affects... (shown left image for this former NYSC in Providence) for LED lighting specified for our client (shown right image, same room). An interesting physiological phenomena associated with this strategy is that LED will give your members warmer complimentary skin tones in contrast to the pale and lifeless affects that HID and fluorescent will have on members complexions. That is design as a psychological tool.

Franchise Model Or Your Own Brand.. If you buy a gym franchise you limit your independence because you're simply not buying into your ideas, you're buying the franchisors business model and strategy. You cannot adjust your price, or programming, or marketing or design. You're promoting the franchisors ability to use your facility in his marketing collateral illustrating his success, not necessarily yours. No franchisor will celebrate those franchises that fail, that struggle, that are on the chopping block, you only will see the great success stories. So what happens when a competitor moves into your market and delivers a better brand and product to your market?
