Change over time: Several trend tables have acolumn indicating a change over time. Generallythese tables begin with the last census, include thecurrent year estimate, a five year projection and ifavailable, a 10 year forecast. The data in each cellrepresents a percentage change up or down.
• Indexes of 100 mean the study area variable is thesame as its base area.• Indexes greater than 100 mean the study areavariable is above the base area. The higher thenumber, the greater it is above the base.
Color Coding: Both the "Change over Time" and"Comparative Indexes" columns are color coded toeasily spot any change and the direction of thatchange.
• Indexes less than 100 mean the study area variableis below the base area. The lower the number, thegreater it is below the base.
