Cash or checks made out to DJ Howard. 16 people maximum per clinic.

Each clinic is two hours: one hour of instruction with supervised drills followed by an hour of supervised play time with feedback on strokes and strategies. DJ Howard is a US Open Gold medal winner in men’s 5.0 doubles and a current professional pickleball player with the Professional Pickleball Federation.

She will join our team starting May 2 to support our intergenerational garden and weekly activities at both the Chelsea and Manchester Farmers Markets. The Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Empire Falls returns readers to the setting of Nobody's Fool* and finds Sully confronting a daunting health prognosis, which he hides from his loved ones, including his longtime mistress, an increasingly distant best friend and an obsessive chief of police. Copies of the book are available in the office. When you finish reading your borrowed copy, please return it to the office so those on our waiting list have a chance to read it before Book Club.

Revisit defensive driving techniques, proven safety strategies and learn about new traffic laws and rules of the road. Participants must attend both sessions. Upon completion you could receive a discount on your car insurance (consult your insurance agent). Space is limited to 20 participants. Call or stop by the Center to register.

Wellness Alternatives is a joint project between Adult Learners Institute and Chelsea Senior Center that honors Pam Radcliffe and will bring togeth-er practitioners from various disciplines to provide intro-ductory sessions, allowing participants to gain detailed understanding of up to four techniques for a single low fee of $5. Choose from acupuncture, pilates, massage, reike, yoga and meditation.

The event is open to all adults, and will take place at the Chelsea Senior Center on Saturday, May 20, from 12:30-

5:30 pm. Register through A.L.I.

Mexican Train Tuesdays, 12:30 pm, star ng May 9

Join the fun! Mexican Train is a game played with dominoes and the object of the game is for a player to play all the dominoes from her hand onto

one or more chains or “trains” emanating from a central hub or “station”. Up to 8 players can play per game. We have multiple sets on hand.

The Grass Lake Senior Center is a satellite of the Chelsea Senior Center which is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organiza on. The Grass Lake Center is

wholly funded by community grants and dona ons. Your $25 annual membership fee and occasional par cipa on fees support the Grass Lake

Senior Focused Exercise: Work out at your own pace with our cer-tified instructors. $1 per class thanks to funding from St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea.

Sewing: Join a fun group of seam-stresses who meet each week to make dresses and dolls and other items to donate to under-privileged children around the world.

Mah Jongg: Come learn to play and/or play. The Center has a Mah Jongg set on hand, so come try it out.

Line Dancing: Join Sally Shock for beginner line dancing each Tuesday afternoon. Drop ins wel-come. $3 m/$4 nm per class.

Wii Bowling: Play standing or sit-ting and we have many experts on hand who will patiently teach you

The Grass Lake Senior Center is par cipa ng in the Community Yard Sale. Save your clean, resalable, gently used items and help us raise money for the Grass Lake Senior Center. No clothes or shoes please.
