2. The first characteristic of life is, all living things have the same basic ingredients, DNA or RNA.
A marker does not have DNA or RNA but people do.

3. The second characteristic of life.
2. All living things have cells. Cells are the building blocks of life.
Building block do not have cells but rats do

4. The third characteristic of life.
All living things need water and a source of energy to live. They need food and sugars.
Pizza does not need water or energy but tigers do.

5. The fourth characteristic of life.
Living things can reproduce and can grow. That means they can get larger and keep a generation going.
A blanket can not reproduce or grow, but a plant can.

6. The fifth characteristic of life
All things must die. It means every living things life must end.
The grim reaper (if real) has to die sometime but a head stone dose not.

7. The sixth characteristic of life.
Living thing can adapt to there surroundings. They are able to adapt to danger and changes in their environment.
A tiger can adapt over time but, a book cant.

8. The seventh characteristic of life.
All living the thing can move. Most living thing need to have the know how to move or else they would starve to death or get in danger.
A person can walk but rocks cant.

9. The Eighth characteristic of life.
Living things have the ability to heal injuries.
A bug can heal but a computer can not.

All living things can evolve.
A desk cannot evolve but, a plant can.
