Summary of Recent Monthly Chapter
Meeting Sponsored by Eupen The first NAPCO Chapter Meeting of 2012 kicked off in Sacramento.
Over 70 people, including members, guests and vendors, were in
attendance. This was a record attendance for a chapter monthly meeting.
Many changes were acknowledged, including the new Chapter Board
Members, and changes to upcoming meeting structures.
President Scott Andrews reviewed the Summary of the annual Board of
Directors Strategic Planning Meeting where the biggest changes
announced were the changes in President Elect and Vice President to
Randy Hagar and John Batarseh, and David Cruise was appointed as a
Board Member. As meeting expenses grow to accommodate larger
numbers, an increase in registration fees is required. Regular members
and guests will now be charged $25.00, and retired members will
continue at $10.
As mentioned last year, NAPCO has been awarded the opportunity to
host the Western States Regional Conference in 2015. We are now
looking for individuals to help serve on the numerous committees
required to put on such a large show, and if you are interested, please
contact any one of the board members to express your interest and select
which capacity you would like to serve in.
Our keynote was provided by the Sacramento Regional Radio
Communications System, and they discussed in detail their numerous
capabilities and pieces of equipment that can be deployed quickly for
large, mutual aid, response scenarios.

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
If you missed it, our first Chapter Meeting of
2012 was a great way to kick off the New Year.
I must thank our members as this meeting set a
new record for online pre-registrations at over
70! I think this speaks volumes about the
dedication and commitment we all have to
NAPCO.
Further proving NAPCO’s commitment at a
National Level, we have formed a Committee
to plan and organize the 2015 APCO Western
States Regional Conference to be held in
Sacramento, and are actively seeking interested
parties to serve in many different capacities.
This should prove to be a fantastic opportunity
for our Northern California APCO Chapter, as
well as the entire Public Safety Community in
our Region. Please visit the ―2015 WRC
Update‖ that will be a reoccurring feature of
NAPCO News for the latest and up to date
information.
As Chapter President, nothing is more
important to me than our members. NAPCO is
and needs to remain a membership driven
organization that is here to serve and assist
individuals in the Public Safety Community.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me or any
Board Member to share your thoughts and
concerns regarding our Chapter. We are here to
serve you. Please join me in working for a
great 2012!
