Te saturated color palette used within thedesign is inspired by a work o art titled,Cinco Melodias (above), by Xul Solar, a well-known Argentine artist. Inaddition, the bright hues suggest an atmosphere o play ulness and welcome.

F orm or the design o the primary school at TeNorthlands draws inspiration rom La AvenidaNueve de Julio, the widest avenue in the world anda national landmark. Symbolically, the re erenceto the avenue represents Argentinas independenceday and pride in country. Spatially and visually, there erence suggests movement and the lively, joy ulessence o a bustling metropolis.

Monuments, such as the obelisk and the statue o Don Quixote, occur regularly along La AvenidaNueve de Julio. Tese monuments create hubs o engagementspeci c points o visual interest, enjoyment and in ormation exchange. Withinthe context o the primary school design, thismonument e ect translates into vibrant commonareas that create a rhythmic occurrence o ocalpoints as one travels rom one end o the building
