Structure of blanket
The blanket consists of backing fabricmade of cotton plies or manmade fibers,
which are woven and laminated in thinlayers and then coated in a syntheticrubber or similar compound to give asmooth surface and overall even caliper.

The surface of the blanket
There is incorporating layer of very small air orgas bubbles in the structure of the blanket toenabling the surface to deform without causing it
to be stretched and create defects.
Made by synthetic rubber such as nitrile withblends of polysulphide rubber to improve sheetrelease properties.
Also added with plasticizer, sulphur, zinc oxide,fillers which toughen and harden, and pigmentsto give the required color.
