Presidents report
Hi All, I’m back from a 2 month well earned break, I hope everyone is well and look forward to seeing you at the up and coming shows. Thanks to Wayne for chairing the last meeting and taking care of business while I was away. I have taken lots of pho-tos at various shows and museums during my travels and I will endeavour to have them on a slide show at the next meeting for all to view.

John’s Jottings - Aug./Sept. 2015
With some of the club office bearers away things have not stopped. There is lots of work going on in several sheds getting jobs done to add to our displays in the fast approaching show sea-son.
Roland tells me nothing happens up in his part of the state and true to form I don’t believe him.
Margaret E.W. is busy going to sales to add to her great display.
John and Hazel Plummer are at Cue with a metal detector hoping to find a WASP compressor tank among other things.
Down here we had a very good day at Brian and Dot Blum’s. Thanks to them for the hospitality, no engines were started but you would not have heard them for the talking. Twen-ty folk had a very nice social day out.
Allan Horridge (horrible) is back from “up North” with a good covering of red dust and no new toys. He has since seen the light and has got a Lister.
John Harbeck has had a second shoulder operation so is confined to home base for a few weeks.
John Ayers is overcoming a few problems with his Gray now that he can see better.
Ron Dart has moved down here from Narrogin. He is a member of that group but is keen to attend some of our shows. Please make him welcome.
Really good to see Neil Twaddle out and about getting ready for Waroona Vintage Machinery Day 20th SEPTEMBER. This is not many weeks away and if you miss it you will have missed a really good day out.
Phil Scott secretary is away till 5th, Elwyn is home after the trip down the Rhine. Wayne had to run Sundays meeting. He did a good job.
Members there voted to support Waroona this year and next. Lil and Pat to get a price for Christmas Lunch and J.C. to organise the raffle. The talker did a good job on the lunch so all was well.
I have had a couple of frustrating days sorting out a mag with a bright spark for my Sundial lots of different cams but only one to go clockwise and a few crook coils.
I was most impressed with Abbey Cooks article on the trip to Gallipoli. They certainly covered some ground and saw a lot of things. We may have a new editor in the making. What a great trip.
We send our condolences to Ruth Green on the recent passing of her father.

A nice little restoration job for someone. A Zetor
crawler with rotary hoe. Spotted in a shed where
we had afternoon tea with a local Slovakian family
I think this one would suit Wayne
How would you like this one Matthew?
I’m Sure that Don Bonny or Don Brett
would find space in their shed for this little
beauty.
The above photos were taken by Elwyn on his
recent trip from Prague to Paris.
