The athletes from all over the world take part in the games. Liu Changchun was the first Chinese athlete who joined in the Summer Olympic Games in1932. Xu Haifeng was the first Chinese athlete who won one gold medal in the Summer Olympics. Ye Qiaopo was the first Chinese athlete who won one gold medal in the Winter Olympics in 1992.
