Concours International de Violon Tibor Junior, Suisse Tibor Junior International Violin Competition, Switzerland

This gathering of young violin talents is aimed to find not only virtuosi but also future musicians. Throughout all the competition rounds, candidates will be accompanied by an orchestra: in the first round by the orchestra of the HEMU - High School of Music in Lausanne- and in the second round and final by Kremerata Baltica. All the competitors not admitted to the second or final round will have

the opportunity to attend a free violin masterclass, run by jury members.Candidates not selected at each round will join the jury for the following round and will take part in public performances and concerts.

In the first round the candidates will play as well in duo among themselves in duo and the finalists will play in duo with members of the jury.

b. Paganini SchumannOne of following Caprices: Nr. 9, 11, 13, 21 or 24(arr. for Violin & Orchestra by Andrei Pushkarev, after Paganini Schumann version)

c. PärtPassacaglia for two violins (performed with another candidate – order will be announced on May 30th).

2nd ROUNDwith Kremerata Balticaa. Schubert
