Holden Sheppard is an award-winning Young Adult author born and bred in Geraldton, Western Australia. His debut novel, Invisible Boys, won the 2018 City of Fremantle T.A.G. Hungerford Award and the 2017 Ray Koppe Residency Award, and was Highly Commended in the 2018 ASA Emerging Writers’ Mentorship Prize.
In a small town, everyone thinks they know you: Charlie is a hardcore rocker, who's not as tough as
he looks. Hammer is a footy jock with big AFL dreams, and an even bigger ego. Zeke is a shy
over-achiever, never macho enough for his family. But all three boys hide who they really are. When the truth is revealed, will it set them free or blow
them apart?

Lucifer, seasons 1-3
Lucifer Morningstar, a Devil himself, escapes his boring life in Hell to settle in Los Angeles, where he runs a nightclub and solves crimes with his partner, LAPD
detective Cloe Decker.
I started watching this show hoping that it will be silly enough to get me through the nasty cold and what a devilish ride it proved to be! It is silly for sure, but also genuinely funny and seriously good, and not only because of extraordinary performance of Tom Ellis as Lucifer and a brilliant support cast. The show follows police procedural format, but there is enough surprises to keep viewers interested : a great romance, sibling rivalry, ex-partners, parents, friends found, lost and found again, search for ones identity and a place in the
word and an ultimate desire for redemption. -RP
The Whisper Network by Chandler Baker. (2019)
Sloane, Ardie, Grace and Rosalita have worked for the Truviv law firm for years. The CEO has just died and it looks like their boss, Ames, is going to take over. Ames is a complicated man who has always been surrounded by whispers. But the women have had enough. The whispers become chatter, the chatter becomes loud and then louder still as the women unknowingly set in motion a catastrophic shift throughout the office. A shift that will lead to lies being uncovered, secrets exposed and not everyone will survive.
I can definitely see why there is a lot of hype around it and I’d have to agree that this book is worth talking about. Aside from being a thoroughly good read, there is an important message in this book in line with the “metoo” hashtag movement and victims standing up to their abusers. I’d highly recommend this book and I would be surprised if it doesn’t eventually get made into a movie/TV series. -BG
