I think the most important thing about a waterhole is that it brings all different animals to it - big and small.

On a hot day water holes provide relief from the heat.

The lions that day were on a mission. They drank for a short while and then moved on.

I sent the giraffe because it emphasizes the fact that a person

can be very vulnerable

With a water hole the animals must always be alert because there maybe

a predator close by.

Water holes also have hidden dangers like crocodiles

Water holes get water from rain which means they dry up over the dry season, then the animals move onto the next one

or to the rivers.

The water holes start as a small puddle. Small animals like warthogs will roll in them and when they

leave they take mud with them.

So the hole gets bigger and then the rhinos and buffalo move in.
