About the College The Oxford College of Science was started in the year 1994. Within 24 years the, college has registered a phenomenal growth. Presently College is catering education to more than 3000 students in 13 disciplines. The College is Ranked No. 2 in Karnataka and No. 8 in India, based on INDIA TODAY - Nielsen Survey 2017. Within an intensely competitive environment, the college has adopted a dynamic, global, high quality: creative and communicative approach in education, as well as research and development. The Oxford College of Science & Research Centre proudly stands on a sprawling new campus with a 6-stroyed building of 2.85 lakh sq.ft area in HSR Layout, Sector IV and it is considered the most preferred place for obtaining a Bachelors and Masters Degree in different Sciences and technical Subjects. The College offers 10 combinations of the B.Sc. programme; B.Sc. FAD and BCA. Under the postgraduate programmes the college offers M.Sc. in 10 subjects and M.C.A. The College offer P G Diploma in Cellular and Molecular Diagnostics which is accredited by LSSSDC and is supported by Department of IT, BT & S&T, GoK for the second cycle, under BiSEP Programme (Formerly BTFS). About the Workshop: Keeping in perspective the need for quality research and utilizing modern computational tools for handling research data in most efficient manner the proposed Workshop aims to provide the resources and know-how for the benefit of the students pursuing research. The workshop will deal with the problems of the collection of data, organizing, compilation, and presentation and other research related problems which the students and research scholars confront during their research work. The questions like how to develop the framework for scientific writing?; Which methodology to follow?; Which tool and database should be used for data collection?; Which citation tool should be used for citing published resources?; How the research work of other researchers could be quoted without plagiarism and copyright issues?; What are the different referencing styles which could be followed and how these could be utilized and presented in thesis or reports? etc., are faced by the researcher during his/her research work. The present workshop is an attempt to provide answers for these queries of the scholars and make their research more scientific, need based and genuine.
