  • enter your planned absence

You can inform us about your holidays. If you already know your vacation time, please inform us 3 weeks in advance about your absence. If you enter your absence later, you will receive an error message – in this case enter your absence again and save it. Even if we have produced the items

already we can understand, why you don’t confirm them. There will be no negative outcome for you as participant. 😊 If you entered your absence in time, you will not receive letters/packets and pause your task to send letters. Note: You can state a person (“cover”) who takes over all your duties during your absence. In this case, the task stays as usual and we will contact this person with all queries. Therefore, enter the name and a contact e-mail address of your substitution, please.

All absences you entered are listed on the page. Note: You can edit or delete all information with the icons on the right.

  • enter your sending location

This icon is visible in your panel zone if you

    are a SENDER.

Define the mailbox or the post office that you want to use for sending your test items. Add a new location for sending your letters/packets. You can enter a mailbox for letters and a post office for packets. The description is visible for you when you confirm your sent test items in the posting plan. Note: If you want to use the pick-up service of your company, please inform us via [email protected].

All your entered locations are listed on the page. You can enter as many sending locations as you want. Please enter the last collection time for each day. If the box is not emptied on a certain day, please select “no collection”. The mail collection times for a post office should be displayed inside the post office, and they may be different from the closing times of the post office. You can also ask the post office employee for “the latest time the letter/packet needs to be handed over, so the post can forward it the same day”. Note: You can edit your entered information with the icons on the right. Search a certain location with the arrows in the top box.

  • Confirm a sent Item

This icon is visible in your panel zone if you

    are a SENDER.

Your posting plan shows a list of all letters/packets you should send. First, please confirm the receipt of your weekly pack, see here. Click “Register Received Sender Pack” and enter the planned sending date of one of your items that is inside this weekly pack. Please send the item on the mentioned date in your “Posting Plan” and confirm every letter or packet you sent within 24 hours in this list. Letters become visible 8 days BEFORE planned sending date and disappear 14 days AFTER planned sending date from this list. If you cannot send an item at the planned date, you can send the item exactly one week before or one week after the planned sending date on the same day of the week. Please take care that you do not send two letters into the same country on the same day. There may be exceptions to the rule "send a maximum of one letter / package per day".

    - If you receive your weekly pack too late and therefore cannot induct on the planned sending date

    - If you are exceptionally prevented for personal reasons, such as: illness, sudden absence, etc.

In these cases, the letter/packet should be sent within the next two weeks after the planned sending date, but on the same day of the week (one week after) or at any day (second week after planed sending week). The only exception: Do not send two letters / packets on the same day to the same receiving country. In this case, send one letter/packet on another day. Please confirm always the actual date and the exact time you sent the item. Do NOT tick the planned sending date when you send on a different day. If you enter a different day or time than when you actually did it, these items become invalid

  • Please confirm the date and the time on which you gave the letter/packet into the mailbox or to an employee in your post office. Note: If you have entered more than one, you can choose between your sending locations.

Your confirmed letters/packets disappear from your posting plan.

  • Items you will get

This icon is visible in your panel zone if you

    are a RECEIVER.

Your receiving plan contains a list of all letters/packets that will be/were sent to you. Please check your mailbox daily to make sure that you can determine the exact day of receipt. Remember that delivery can be as late as 20:00 in the evening, so take care not to check your mailbox too early in the day. You can confirm the arrival of these items with the icon ‘Register received item’

  • Confirm a

    received item

This icon is visible in your panel zone if you

    are a RECEIVER.

You can confirm the receiving of a test item. Please enter the Control ID written in the test letter document. The control ID consists of 4 characters (capital letters and numbers). Please DO NOT enter the item ID.

If you got a notification card, please upload a picture of the card first! Click here for help.

  • Confirmation of a received LETTER

    Confirmation of a received PACKET

Check Test Item ID at the top of the page. Note: If the Test Item ID on your document does not match to the item ID in your “Receiving Plan”, please check if you entered the correct Control ID. Any problems left? Inform us via [email protected] Confirm the receipt of this letter by entering when this item was delivered to you. Please note the delivery date on the test item document which is inside the packet and keep it at home for 3 months (only contents – not the packet itself). You can discard the packet, but please keep the document with the date of receipt. We will ask for it if any queries occur later. Thank you.

Check Test Item ID at the top of the page. Note: If the Test Item ID on your document does not match to the item ID in your “Receiving Plan”, please check if you entered the correct Control ID. Any problems left? Inform us via [email protected] Option A: Confirm the receipt of this packet by picking the date of arrival and choose how you received the package (Personally, in your mailbox, by someone living at your address or left outside) Option B: If you were notified (Notification card, email, sms, etc.) that you should pick up a packet at a post office or similar, please follow this procedure:

    1. Enter your Panel Zone and click “Upload Notifications” Click here for help. 2. Now, please upload a photo of the notification card (or a screenshot of the email / sms etc.) and save it with the date of receipt 3. Afterwards, please go to the post office (shop, library, etc.) and pick up the packet 4. Now you can confirm the receipt of this packet via “Register Received item” with the delivery option “You received a delivery notification and picked

up the packet from the post office/pickup station/Customs/neighbour.” and enter the pick up date as receipt date. 5. Finally, Don’t forget to link the notification with your item (at the bottom of the site).

Please write the receive date on the test item document which are in the packet and keep it at home for 3 months (only contents – not the packet itself) We will ask for it if any queries occur later. For that it might be useful, if you write the date of receipt on the test item document. Thank you!

  • Upload a notification

This icon is visible in your panel zone if you

    are a RECEIVER.

If you get a notification about the arrival of a packet, make a photo and upload it.

Please take a photo of the notification card and upload it in your panel zone. You need to link it to the confirmation of a received packet.

The date of receipt of the notification card is the date on which you received the card. It is not the date that the post/post man wrote down on the card. Uploaded Notifications are visible in your “Receiving Plan” when you scroll down.

  • Now, you can register the receipt of the test packet. For help, please click here.

This icon is visible in your panel zone if you

    are a SENDER.

Let us know that you got the items that you should send.

In the following, you will find the necessary approach for the sender pack registration. A Sender Pack is a bigger pack that contains smaller test items that you need to send to other panelists during a certain week. Enter the 5-digit code and click “Submit”. You will find the code on the bottom of your “weekly information sheet”.

Choose the date where you have received your sender pack and click “Submit”. Please be aware about the differences about your sender pack, which includes your items and the items itself! It is really important to check this carefully, before entering the date. If you do not register your sender pack, before entering your items, the following pop-up will appear:

You select the category you wish to order. In our example it is “Vouchers”. Afterwards, you choose the voucher you wish to order (20 Euro or 50 Euro):

Please click on the “add to cart” button and choose on the top right corner “Shopping cart”:

Proceed with “checkout” and enter your address. Ready. When the order was processed successfully, the amount of points, e.g. 560, will be deducted from your account balance and you will receive an order confirmation email. After 5-7 days, you receive an email from Ovation Incentives. Inside that email, you will find your personal redeem code and the link to their voucher shop where you can choose from the vouchers.

  • Transponders

Some participants get a small device in every test item (Advice for those participants: Not every test item includes this small device/ transponder). These so-called transponders are available in two different types. Firstly, the active transponders, which needs to be returned to us. For that, you get special return envelopes weekly with your test items. You can send 2 or 4 transponders per envelope, it depends on the kind of return envelope (see below). It has sufficient stamps and address and can be sent via every mailbox or post office you want. There is no need for an online confirmation for the sending of a return envelope. If your received return envelope has a stamp, you can put up to 4 transponders in it.

If your received return envelope is post-paid (‘ne pas affranchir’/’Nicht Freimachen’), you can put up to 2 transponders in it.

Exception Switzerland: Participants from Switzerland please return each active transoponder individually. So one transponder per return envelope Advice: Please never send your transponders on the same day on which you received them! Send them back to Ipsos at least one day after. And, secondly, the passive transponders, for which is no need to return them back. In the following we will show these two types of transponders in detail.

  • Active transponder

This is how an active transponder looks like. It’s a small device – often attached to a carton. This kind of transponder needs to be returned! Therefore, you need a return envelope. Please write to [email protected], if you don’t have one.

    Passive transponder

This is how a passive transponder looks like. It’s a sticker with a barcode and an associated number. You don’t need to return this kind of transponder.
