the parameters of a dialogue: a focus on artisanal small-scale mining and large scale mining
DESCRIPTION
A presentation by IIED researcher Abbi Buxton at the 2014 Mining Indaba in Cape Town, South Africa on February 5, discussing the importance of dialogue between those involved in Artisanal and Small-scale Mining (ASM) and large scale mining. IIED aims to create a policy environment that supports more secure, dignified livelihoods for miners, that helps to empower them, that promotes collaboration within the sector and that addresses other social and environmental challenges.
