St Ambrose School has a CLYNK Account at Hannaford Markets for redemption of redeemable bottles and cans. This year the proceeds for our Bottle & Can Return/Redemption efforts will help our Eighth Grade students offset the cost of their class field trip to Washington, D.C. in the Spring. We’d love to have your support with our Bottle & Can Return/Redemption activities. You can pick up CLYNK bags with our CLYNK bag tags affixed in our School and Parish Offices or at the back of church. How does it work? It’s easy. bag it: Fill the tagged CLYNK bag with redeemable bottles & cans. drop it: Drop the bag off at a CLYNK location in any participating Hannaford or at St. Ambrose School. done: If dropping at Hannaford just Scan each bag tag at the CLYNK Drop Door & drop it inside. If you have additional questions please feel free to drop Rita Fahr a note at [email protected]. Many area Hannaford Markets participate in CLYNK including: Hannaford Ballston Spa Hannaford Clifton Park Hannaford Colonie Hannaford Delmar Hannaford Latham Hannaford Malta Hannaford Niskayuna Hannaford Saratoga Hannaford Troy Hannaford Wynantskill The full list of locations can be found on the CLYNK website at https://www.clynk.com/locations/new-york/ Thank you for you help. FROM THE COVER For several weeks the school children have been working alongside parish staff and volunteers to assist with the Thanksgiving Food Drive. Each Monday the children assist with unloading the donations from Hannaford Helps. It’s been a fun time for all involved, working together to ensure that so many received a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner.

The Altar Rosary Society will be preparing the Church for the Advent and Christmas season and they would like to invite the parish family to participate. We will be decorating the altars in the church, chapel and McCormick Center with beautiful live poinsettia plants. If you wish to help them with this endeavor, for a small donation, you may purchase a plant in memory of a loved one or in your family’s name. Information on this project can be found on the red handouts located at the Church entrances. Thank you.

WORLDWIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER
Please join us on Saturday, January 27, 2018 for a FREE presentation entitled “Christ Reveals Himself in Tears” which will be held from 9:00 am to Noon at the Pastoral Center, 40 N. Main Ave., Albany. Yervant Kutchukian, instructor for Pastoral Care Ministry’s Pastoral Visitation to the Sick, Elderly and Homebound skill-building workshop, will explore how we see Christ through the lens of tears—both of those we serve and our own—and how these can be a source of healing and hope for the receiver and giver of care. Yervant is the full-time chaplain at Albany Medical Center and has an extensive background in Pastoral Care. To register for this free presentation or for additional information, please go to: http://www.rcda.org/Offices/pastoral_care_ministry/events.asp or email Maria Schollenberger at [email protected] or call her in Pastoral Care Ministry at (518) 641-6818.
