The Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre (PARC) is the Peninsula’s premier Aquatic, Fitness and Fun PARC connecting individuals and communities through diverse and exciting aquatic and physical activities.

The $49.7 million facility has been constructed with the support of Frankston City Council and the Federal and State Governments. PARC proudly provides a welcoming, innovative and memorable environment, where safety is the priority and fun is the goal for members and visitors of all ages and abilities.

PARC offers endless first class and innovative facilities, service and experiences. PARC is home to the world’s first AquaSphereTM family raft ride and the thrilling ConstrictorTM raft ride, and the award winning AquaPlayTM aquatic playground, positioning the Centre as the Peninsula’s premier fun PARC. A state of the art gym, group exercise studios, warm water pool, Swim School, Wellness Centre and café are some of the many highlights on offer at PARC.

MEMBERSHIP

Become a member, this will offer you the best value and maximise your access to PARC’s facilities and services for only a fortnightly fee.

There are a range of membership options to choose from at PARC, with the cost varying depending on the facilities you wish to access, your desired contract length, any concessions you may hold, the time of day you wish to use the centre and if there are any groups with whom you are already connected.

PARC members are entitled to discounts on special offers, programs and services, and receive priority access to enter the centre.

PARC CLUB

We understand that PARC membership may not be for everyone, so we’ve created the PARC Club Card - a simple annual subscription, and an ideal option for our part-time users.

The PARC Club Card entitles you to purchase multi-visit passes and discounts on special offers, programs and services. To become a PARC Club Card holder please contact one of our friendly Membership Consultants.

CASUAL USE

All PARC facilities and services can be accessed on a casual basis by visitors of all ages and abilities.

LEARN TO SWIM

Learning how to swim and how to be safe around water are essential life skills that provide us all with the confidence to enjoy aquatic environments and activities.

At PARC, we are committed to providing excellent aquatic programs that best meet our customer’s needs.

PARC’s learn to swim school offers:• A fun and exciting learning environment• Interactive and innovative activities• Dedicated qualified AUSTSWIM teachers• Small class sizes• Leading-edge, quality facilities• Free new enrolment and ongoing skills

PARC’s Swim School caters for students from six months through to adults, and for all skill levels, with lessons available across a seven day program. Private lessons – one on one lessons for those seeking extra tuition – and special needs programs are also available.

Make a splash

At PARC you can experience state of the art aquatic facilities for fun, fitness, relaxation and for your specific rehabilitation needs.

Lap it up - at your leisure keep up your swimming fitness by enjoying the heated 10 lane 50m indoor pool.

Adult squad sessions are also available under the guidance of qualified coaches to offer additional support and motivation for intermediate to advanced swimmers.

Aqua aerobics classes are available for those who enjoy aerobic fitness in the pool. With five different classes to choose from, PARC has an option to suit beginners through to advanced participants.

Relax and rehabilitate in our warm water pool. It’s one of the largest in Victoria and is heated to approximately 34 degrees with ramp access to cater for all abilities. Our warm water exercise pool offers a tranquil environment in which to relax and rehabilitate your body.

Go wild on the waterslides!AquaSphereTM

PARC is the first place in the world to install the AquaSphereTM family raft ride. It’s a thrilling four person raft ride that starts with a heart pounding drop. Riders then speed down an enclosed serpentine flume experiencing high speed twists and turns and then are injected into a 5m sphere where they ride around 90 degree corners that seem to last forever!

ConstrictorTM

The Constrictor™ swallows either a single or a two person raft into its depths, down through a series of spine tingling spirals with tight, high banking turns. The Constrictor™ lives up to its name with a flume that narrows to 2.1m, expands to 3.1m and then back again to 2.1m. This waterslide’s custom designed snake skin like facade brings this waterslide to life, making it a visually exciting addition to PARC.

Aquatic PlaygroundThe award winning AquaPlayTM aquatic playground is a vibrant water play area packed with exciting features and multi-level landings to entertain children of all ages and abilities. Interactive water features such as spray nozzles, jets, valves, a spinning water wheel and a giant tipping bucket are just some of the great attractions on offer.

Pool Inflatables PARC is home to one of the newest adventure inflatables on the market - the Crazy Race. So many challenges in one inflatable, it offers an awesome combination of obstacles to delight participants. The Crazy Race is available for use during a PARC birthday party booking and can be hired by community and school groups.

You’re invited to work up a sweat in our cardio area, with 54 pieces of equipment including reliable treadmills through to the latest in cardio technology. Each piece of equipment features swipe screen touch technology, virtual training, simple log-in access to personalised content and enhanced entertainment experiences through Internet access, TV, games and more.

If you enjoy weight training, you’ll enjoy the PARC experience, home to a range of high quality strength equipment catering for beginners through to the more experienced. With over 40 pieces of the latest equipment available to use, you are sure to find something to suit your strength training needs.

Functional training is also available at PARC, a designated area showcases power lifting equipment, kettle bells, TRX’s, power bags, battle ropes, plyometric equipment and much more.

Member Experience The PARC member experience provides you with a holistic approach to your health and fitness.

All members receive an initial fitness consultation which includes recording measurements and providing a tailored training program with instruction and goal setting plan. Ongoing reassessments are also available.

PARC gym members also have access to group fitness, cardio, strength and functional training specialists and programs to enhance your training experience.

PARC’S group fitness program provides an experience like no other on the Peninsula. With three dedicated studios built to showcase over 90 group fitness classes per week, you’ll be spoilt for choice when choosing a fitness option to best suit you.

Exercise Studio 1A world of group fitness options are here at PARC, with our main studio the home to Les Mills programs and a huge variety of freestyle options. Catering for up to 60 participants and offering the latest equipment, and a state of the art lighting show, this studio will be the showcase venue for group fitness on the Peninsula.

Exercise Studio 2Relax in our studio designed for the mind and body with a variety of relaxation, low impact and core strengthening classes. Classes will include Pilates, Body Balance and Yoga - the perfect way to relax and improve your wellbeing.

Cycle StudioBe motivated and inspired with our dedicated cycle studio housing 40 of the latest cycle bikes with computer technology, a state of the art lighting show and imagery. The PARC cycle experience is for everyone, catering for beginners right through to die-hard cycling enthusiasts.

PARC’s crèche offers parents the opportunity to enjoy PARC’s many facilities whilst having their children cared for by qualified childcare professionals. Our childcare service showcases the latest in learning and development, ensuring quality care in a safe and secure environment for all children.

Our Service• Provides caring supervision for up to 25 children

per session• Is licensed with the Department of Education and

Early Childhood Development• Caters for children from 6 weeks to 5 years • Employs qualified and experienced staff.

Sessions• Are 1 hour 10 minutes in duration and are

available Monday to Friday• Session 1 starts at 9.10am and finishes at

10.30am• Session 2 starts at 10.30am and finishes at

11.50am• Bookings are essential and available 7 days in

advance for members, and 5 days in advance for casual visitors.

PARC has taken into consideration the needs of our members and visitors when designing and fitting out our innovative retail shop.

We stock a comprehensive range of aquatic products, including bathing suits, goggles, swimming equipment, caps, swim nappies and much more. We also cater specifically for our fitness members by offering a range of selective gym gear, hand towels and drink bottles.

All products are of an excellent standard, as we only stock items that are made by suppliers that adhere to quality standards in manufacturing.

ACCESSIBILITY: PARC offers highly accessible facilities for all abilities including a ramp, beach and pool hoist access to all pools; disabled change rooms; and overhead hoist facilities and elevator access to the gym and all group exercise studios.

PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT; Ample car parking is available onsite with a drop off zone located at the front of the centre.
