Be the HERO of Your Home Before the First Day of Summer Even Arrives… “A Done-For-You” Solution that will Make Your Home More Comfortable and Eliminate Those Rooms that Never Cool Right.

I am sure we can all point to that room in our house that never quite feels like the rest of the house. We often remedy this situation by always complaining about it (HAHA) or neglecting to even visit this room. Both of these are acceptable solutions, but what if that room is one you would really like to use… for instance… a sun room or bonus room above the garage?

these next few months our company will be hosting a “spring cleaning” clothing drive. Many people think to donate warm clothing and jackets in the winter months, but what about the spring? Please help us collect clothing items for the needy and homeless. We will be accepting gently used clothing items at either Peterman Heating, Cooling & Plumbing location (indianapolis, or Columbus... See addresses below,) April 1st - July 31st.

Please call ahead to assure that we are not at lunch (317) 859-4270. We will be collecting all types of clothing for men, women, children, and babies including hats, belts, shoes, and purses. As a Thank You, Peterman Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing Inc. will be handing out coupons to any person that makes a donation.

once the clothing drive is complete, we will be taking all collected donations to Wheeler Mission Ministries downtown. there, the clothing will be distributed between the homeless shelter, and Wheeler Mission’s thrift store depending on the mission’s needs. If you have questions, or have suggestions on places to volunteer, please call Jaclyn at 317-859-4270 or e-mail her at [email protected].

4 THE PETERMAN NEIGHBORHOOD NEWSLETTER

Does this sound too good to be true?Fortunately, these units pack an energy-efficient punch while offering a homeowner the ability to manually control the temperature in a specific area. No longer do you have to put up with a sun room that transforms into a sauna during the summer and a freezer during the winter.

Mitsubishi ductless systems provide the following benefits:

• Up to 21 SEER efficiency, or seasonal energy efficiency ratio. Normal heating and cooling equipment tops out around 14 SEER. (This means you won’t see a spike in the electric bill when this unit operates.)

• Extremely quiet operation (you will be hard pressed to hear the unit operate)

• Ability to control one particular room (this saves energy and allows for increased comfort)

• Ease of installation and absence of duct work (no room in your house is impossible to heat and cool correctly with this technology)

I am sure some of you are saying to yourself, “I will just go down to the local home improvement store and buy myself an inexpensive window air conditioner.” For decades, window air conditioners have been the solution of choice under such circumstances. They’re cheap, relatively easy to install and effective. Lately, however, Mitsubishi ductless air conditioners have been giving window units a run for their money. People still sometimes rule Mitsubishi out due to the fact that they are more expensive and because they do not realize how much they can save in the long run.

The main things you should consider before buying a portable air conditioner or a ductless system include:

• Efficiency - In terms of energy efficiency, ductless systems are the hands-down winner. Some window units are ENERGY STAR rated, but they still don’t come close to achieving the kinds of SEER ratings you’ll find with mini split systems (SEER is simply an efficiency spectrum, where the higher the SEER rating the more efficient a unit is)

• Comfort - Window units often seem to have no happy medium. They make rooms too hot or too cold. Mitsubishi ductless systems have specialized sensors that detect small changes in temperature and adjust their speeds accordingly. They are able to do this because they have inverter compressors that are capable of operating at various speeds. All of this is achieved

with a minimal amount of electricity, so energy bills remain reasonable.

• Noise - Most window AC units are noisy (some sound as if an airplane is taking off outside your window). Some models are better than others, but you’re not going to find one that is completely unnoticeable. Ductless systems make noise too, but they operate a lot more quietly. If noise is a big concern for you, you’ll be much happier with a ductless system.

• Price - You may be wondering, “How much do mini split systems cost?” and may be dismayed to learn that they are much more expensive than window units. However, they also last for years and use a lot less electricity. They deliver superior comfort for a lot less money over time, so you should be able to recoup the upfront cost without any trouble.

Mitsubishi systems are truly a unique product offering that look to solve those pesky comfort issues you may have in your home.

If you are sitting in your living room reading this article, staring at your sun room, knowing how hot it will get this summer, and dreading the fact you paid for the room and can’t use it, it is time to give us a call. As your home comfort specialist, we are intent on making your home as comfortable as possible. Our Mitsubishi technology can do just that for you.

Don’t delay, the warm weather will be here soon. Give us a call at (317) 759-2571 or (812) 373-6836 to schedule your RISK FREE in-home evaluation to learn if your uncomfortable space may be right for a Mitsubishi mini-split heating and air conditioning system.

Again, don’t delay and give us a call to schedule one of our specialists out to your home. Call (317) 759-2571 or (812) 373-6836 and ask for Ashley to schedule your appointment.

Sincerely,

Chad Peterman

“Before Peterman installed a Mitsubishi system in our sun room, it was unbearable in the summer.

All we wanted to do was enjoy the weather, but were unable to without it being too hot. now we are able to use the sun room year-around and it is extremely comfortable. I would definitely

recommend one of these units for any room that you can’t keep the right temperature.” -Joan S., Beech Grove, in

we will be launching in April to promote the business. As part of this preparation, the company we are working with asked us to think about “who we are as a business and who we want to be to our customers.” As standard as this question sounds, we all three found it very difficult to come up with answers. I think deep down, we know who we are, but verbalizing it is sometimes difficult.

We were able to come up with some different things that set us apart in the marketplace and things that we feel we offer that no one else can. One helpful exercise was looking through all the reviews we get back from our customers. These are very enlightening as to who customers feel we are and what about us made them pleased with our service.

One thing that stood out for me was the knowledge that people thought we exhibited while on the job and how comfortable they felt as a

I hope everyone is doing well this month as the weather finally looks like spring is on the way! I for one am very excited about getting outside and enjoying the weather.

result of our installers and technicians being able to communicate with them. We have definitely worked very hard the past year and a half to make sure we are communicating with people when we are in their home and making them aware of things that could improve indoor air quality, improve water quality, etc. With that being said, don’t ever be afraid to consult your technician when it comes to an issue in your home. More than likely, we have something that can help improve the situation.

I hope everyone has a great spring. Don’t forget to give us a call to have your air conditioner serviced before the really warm weather hits. Thanks again for your loyalty.
