Give back by serving on the REMC board
If you’re wanting to be a part of a company that has a commitment to community and the people that live here, consider serving on the REMC board of directors. This is a great way to be part of an organization that cares about their neighbors and works to make a positive contribu-tion in so many ways.
In 2018 REMC members will elect board members representing District 4 and District 5. District 4 represents Carr and Union townships in Clark County. District 5 represents Lafayette and New Albany townships in Floyd County.
Any eligible person who wishes to run for
the board of directors (including an incumbent director) must be nominated by way of a written petition signed by a minimum of 15 members. The petition may only be signed by members of Clark County REMC.
The board of directors for Clark County REMC is the legal body which both the member and the government hold accountable for the actions of the organization. The men and women elected to serve are dedicated people who have the interests of all members of the organization at heart.

When can I apply?Candidate forms and petitions must be completed and returned by Jan. 8, 2018 at 4 p.m.

Clark County REMC’s Clint Schroeder recently graduated from the Hoosier Energy Apprentice Training and Safety (HEATS) program. Seventeen men received diplomas marking the completion of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training, coupled with 576 hours of classroom instruction. The academic commitment requiring multiple tests and classes earn each student an associate degree from Ivy Tech Community College. Each year, a special award is presented to the graduate earning the highest GPA in the class, and this year’s award was presented to Schroeder. Congratulations, Clint!
