Through an Organization called Partners of the Americas, I was selected to participate in the

Business Fellows Program held by US´s Deparment of State.

The year, 2010 and the organization informed me that my time in this entrepreneurship

exchange would be spent in a city called Springfield (yes, my first thought was the same as

yours) working for the Area Chamber of Commerce.

My Host, Mr. Brad Bodenhausen, then the VP of the Chamber, showed me around and among

lots of interesting things I stumbled upon a row of pictures portraying the past and the current

Chamber´s Chairman. You migth wonder why, but I dont remember the name of the

Chairman by that time but I still (and I will always) remember the previous one: Mr. Douglas

«Doug» Pitt. That last piece of information is the core of this story.
