What is PAC?

The Practical Apprenticeship Center (“PAC”) is an exciting, educational partnership between FSU’s College of Communication & Information and The Children’s Campaign that takes a traditional apprenticeship program and converts into “on-the-job” training for a 21st Century workforce. PAC is an organization with the intentions of assisting students to receive work experience prior to graduation. PAC is able to facilitate these over achieving students int o finding internships that fit their needs.

Unlike a traditional apprentice program, PAC employs techniques to produce a qualified workforce that:

• Leverages education and training that transfers knowledge and skills of seasoned volunteers to the future workforce

• Provides critical capacity building services needed by non-profits and small businesses

• Promotes community and civic involvement to create the next generation that is ready to work, ready to lead, and ready to serve
