From the Principal

As a school community we have been through a tumultuous time since our last official

Newsletter in March. I would like to sincerely thank everyone for the incredibly positive

way you have all managed through this extraordinary time. This includes all staff (including

relief), students, parents/carers and extended families.

The following arrangements remain in place and will be reviewed as part of Phase 3 of the

Western Australian Government’s WA roadmap to recovery.

Drop off and pick up arrangements at the designated gates and Kiss and Drop

(please do not drop students off prior to 8.15 am).

Restrictions on parents and carers, and non-essential visitors, from entering school

grounds.

Whole school assemblies, camps and interschool activities are not permitted.

High level playground equipment remains out of bounds.

Strict environmental cleaning throughout the school day, including high-touch

surfaces and low level playground equipment, will continue as will reinforced hygiene

measures.

Maintenance and Minor Works

During the last few months there has been a

number of maintenance and improvement

projects across the school as a result of the

State Government’s High Priority Maintenance

and Minor Works program funding and the

school’s budget. These projects have included

internal and external painting, carpeting in

classrooms and the library, roof and air-

conditioning repair and maintenance, the

removal of the rusted benches from Block 2

and Block 3 and the landscaping on the corner

of Ocean and Dandaragan Roads.

Mathematics,

“Learning Area Effort” for all learning areas

taught,

A general comment,

Overall Attitude, Behaviour and Effort, and

Attendance data.

Semester 2 reports will provide the usual, more

detailed information on your child’s progress and

Please keep looking after yourselves and your

and to explore how each of us can contribute to

reconciliation in our workplaces, schools and

communities.

As part of Reconciliation Week, students participated

in a range of activities. Year 4 students learnt about

the significance of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait

Island flags.
