Indent significance

• By highlighting a scene with color or decreasing the pace to linger on a shot of a item, person, or thing.

‘Contrast’ short film, color editing I added to the sequence to indent significance to the unkempt actions of the character which will inevitably contrast with the other character.

Illustrates Points of View

• A sequence may be cut into ascertain way illustrating a particular characters point of view. Then usually through a close up of another character, that characters point of view of the same situation is seen through another angle and another variety of editing techniques. In ‘Life of the American Fireman’, first we see the point of view of those inside the burning building, then of those outside observing the chaos.
