NEXT MEETING: to be determined

Dear Church Family,

It is with sorrow that the Session needs to let you know that, because of Pastor Wayne's health, we

have allowed our agreement with him to lapse. We are all praying for him and his family.

We are grateful for the time that he has spent with our congregation. Sometimes things are hard,

and that's when the church family needs to pull together and extend our caring in many different

ways. We encourage you to continue to pray for Wayne's health and send your expressions of love to

Wayne and his family.

Please be assured that Session continues to look to the future. We are working to provide worship

leadership each Sunday, and look forward to the time when the PNC presents us with our new

permanent pastor.

Motions from the November Session meeting:

Motion: Session agrees to pay a benevolence of $100 directly to the Utility Company with the

secretary letting the recipient know that we are not in a position to offer this assistance more

than once. Approved.

The Deacons will be in charge of the Sacrament of Holy Communion on

December 6th. Please let Sherry Edlhuber know if you or someone you know

would like a home communion visit.

Enjoy the Peace which is found in the Presence of God!

Blessings,

Kim Koski, Clerk of Session

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN: PW (Presbyterian Women) will next meet on Monday, December 7th at 9:30 a.m. If a concern arises that PW would be able to provide help for, please call Emily Guderyon or Betty Dean. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: Somewhere in the world 38 children will be touched by KMUJPC through your

efforts with the Christmas Child boxes. Thank you!

PASTOR NOMINATING COMMITTEE UPDATE:

We have conducted an on-site interview with a potential candidate for our open pastoral position. After frank discussions, questions and answers it confirmed our initial thoughts and discussions on qualifications and fit. We strongly believe this candidate to be the fit we have been seeking for KMUPC. Our next steps are Presbytery approval of the candidate and issuing terms of call. After that the candidate will determine

continuing interest, acceptance, any further discussion and negotiations.

We trust God in this decision process as he guides us to our nest pastor here at KMUPC. We continue to ask you for your prayers of support as we continue in this search for our next pastor and pray with us that this

candidate is that person to lead us.

DEACONS’ CORNER: Sherry Edlhuber (Moderator) 262-367-4634 / [email protected]

NEXT MEETING: Monday, December 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall

CARING FOR OUR STUDENTS: We will be sending gift cards to our college students for exam week.

FOOD BASKETS: We are putting together holiday food baskets for a few families. Please bring in your items as

soon as possible!

NURSERY DUTY: We really need people to sign up to serve in our nursery each Sunday. Lately, we have had gaps in providing this service. Often it only involves checking at the beginning of the service to make sure

there are no parents seeking nursery care. There is a sign up sheet on the front table.

DEACONS: Sherry Edlhuber, Sandy Flatt, Diane Kallas, Jan Mahaney, Frank McLeod, Jean Mickler, Judy

Warner & Lisa Weatherbee.
