Mission Statement

• The Proving Ground was created to provide legitimate on court exposure opportunities for rising seniors, juniors and sophomores that have achieved local and regional accomplishments but limited if any national recognition and are seeking increased scholarship offers.

• The Proving Ground will assist players gain additional interest from colleges and universities at the. Division 2 and Division 1 levels. For those who excel the Proving Ground will serve as a springboard to increased rankings, elite All-American camps and national all-star games

Overview & Participants

• Invitational only weekend basketball exposure event consisting of full court games, 3 on 3 competitions, NCAA clearinghouse workshops, guest lectures and optional individual skill development stations.

• Players in the 2008, 2009 and 2010 graduating classes who are projected as legitimate division 2 to mid major division 1 collegiate prospects.

Combine Features

• (120) players maximum• (10) Players per team.• (1) USSSA certified coach

per team• 4 Full games per player.• 2 Full quarters of playing

time. No Substitutions except for injury or request

• College coaches and media scouts will have access to player profiles via website.

• Players invited by position. Best attempts made to allow players to play chosen position.

• Only two games played at a time providing outstanding evaluation for college coaches and media scouts

• Five optional individual. development workshops.

• Individual height and reach measurement and core strength testing

Basic Logistics

• Web site goes live March 1• Invitations begin April 1 by

position• Players provide own meals,

housing and transportation• 24 Staff members: 1

director, 2 assistant directors,12 team coaches, 2 trainers, 2 Slash, 2 equipment managers, 2 lead clinicians

• Friday 7-10pm registration and optional work out #1

• Saturday 9-7pm, team practices, 3 on 3 games, full court games 1 and 2. Lecture 1, optional work outs 3 and 4

• Sunday 9-4pm, full court games 3 and 4, optional workout 5 and 6, Lecture 2
