The leading association for nutritionists and nutrition researchers, the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) publishes three well-respected journals: The Journal of Nutrition, The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, and Advances in Nutrition. Published every month, The Journal of Nutrition was the first journal devoted solely to nutrition professionals. It has featured cutting-edge research and findings since 1928.

ASN officials launched The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 1952, and it now ranks as one of the top 100 most influential biology- and medicine-related journals. The Institute for Scientific Information also rated this journal its top pick among all nutrition and dietetic journals. Finally, a relatively new publication, Advances in Nutrition was established in 2010. It aims to highlight the role of nutrition in overall health.
