Lubcon is an ISO certified Oil and Gas Company headquartered in

Ilorin, Nigeria. It was established in 1991, it is primarily involved in the

manufacturing, lifting, distribution and sales of petroleum and allied

products. With a robust and extensive supply network, Lubcon

contributes to the smooth running of economies in Africa. The

company has in the past 25 years, experienced very rapid growth due

to its reputation for quality products and innovative services.

In Lubcon, we have in place a quality program that guarantees value to

our customers and ensures excellence in the management of available

resources. The various awards we have won over the years and our ISO

9001:2008 and QC 100 certifications are a testimony to our product

quality and operational excellence.

Lubcon expanded its frontiers with the construction of a lube plant in Ghana in 2002 to service the West African sub-region. The company won an award as the lube manufacturing company of the year in 2015.

We have also constructed an ultra modern lube blending plant in Ethiopian which commence operations in 2017, to service the East Africa sub-region.

With these investments, the company has access to markets in over 15 African countries.


Product Innovation:

Lubcon has remained at the forefront in product innovation in the

country, from being the first indigenous company in the Oil and Gas

sector to be ISO certified in 2002, to the introduction of nano

technology in lubricant formulation in Nigeria. Our flagship product

Nano Adrenalin is the only product that lubricates and renews the

engine every time it is used.

Our expansion projects and the innovations we have introduced in our

system earned Lubcon the 2015 National Productivity Order of Merit

Award, making it the first company in the Nigerian Oil & Gas sector to

be so honoured.


Our Milestones

• 1991. Lubcon was incorporated as a limited liability company

to carry out the business of manufacturing, lifting,

distribution and sales of petroleum and allied products.

• 1995. Lubcon became the official lubricant blender for NATA

(Nigeria Automobile Technicians Association).

• 2000. Lubcon became the first company in Nigeria to be awarded

the prestigious NIS (Nigeria Industrial Standards) award.

• 2002. Lubcon became the first indigenous Oil and Gas Company

to be ISO certified in Nigeria (ISO 9001:2000).

• 2002. Lubcon set up a lube plant in Ghana

• 2008. Lubcon upgraded to ISO 9001:2008 International Quality

Certification

• 2010. Lubcon revalidated it’s ISO 9001:2008 Certification.

• 2011. Lubcon received NIS (Nigerian Industrial Standards)

Lubcon was elected as a Corporate member of the British Safety

Council as well as a Member of the Institute of Occupational

Health and safety

• 2015. Appointed by JXTG Nippon of Japan to blend lubricants

locally on its behalf for the Yamaha motorcycles and outboard

motors that are being assembled in Nigeria

• Lubbox is into engineering fabrication and

construction. Lubbox is responsible for the steel

fabrication works of the Group. It has also

handled a number of major third party projects in

Nigeria for clients such as the Central Bank of Nigeria. Lubbox

undertook the construction of our Plants in Ghana and Ethiopia.

• Lubcon Petroleum is a key player in oil and gas trading, with

storage facilities in Calabar, Lagos and Lokoja.

• Lubcon Energy is the driving force behind Lubcon’s investments in alternative & sustainable energy projects. In collaboration with BYD of China, it is seeking to bring alternative energy solutions to Nigeria and other African countries. It is also promoting the sale of Composite LPG cylinders that incorporate the latest consumer safety features


• Logdisc handles the distribution and logistics needs of the Lubcon

Group, which includes trucking of finished products all over the

country, and shipping within the West African sub-region.

• Replastico was incorporated in 2002 to meet the

plastic packaging needs of Lubcon Limited. It is

now a leading producer of quality containers of

various sizes and shapes for several local customers.

• Lubcon Aero currently operates facilities in

Ilorin, Minna and Lagos International

Airports, for the supply of aviation fuel, and is

planning an additional facility in Abuja, Kano

& Maiduguri.

• Conbul Foods is into the processing and packaging of foodstuffs

(rice, elubo and gari) for the local and

international markets, and the

exportation of Sesame seed, Cashew,

Groundnut, Ginger and Shea butter.

• Corrupac with its plant in Ilorin, has served and

continues to meet the quality requirements for

paper based packaging products by Lubcon Limited

and other customers.


International Associates

• Lubcon Ghana Limited: Operational since 2002, the facility has

an installed capacity of 20,000 MT of lubes and 2,000 MT of

greases per annum. Situated in Tema, Ghana, it is the only

independent lubricant blending and grease making plant in

Ghana. It is strategically placed to serve the West African markets.

Lubcon Ghana is also licensed to carry out bunkering services in

the West Africa Coast.

• Lubcon Ethiopia Inc: – is the first lubricant blending company to

be licensed in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Located in Debre Zeyit (Bishoftu), it produces lubricants and allied

products to serve the East and Central African market, and has an

installed capacity of 30,000 MT of lubes per annum.

• Lubcon Niger: Commenced operations in 2004 . It is currently

marketing fuels and lubricants to the government of Niger and its

citizens.

• Lubcon Liberia Inc: Was incorporated in 2007 to market fuels,

lubricants and other petroleum products in Liberia.

• Lubcon also has distributorships in Benin Republic and Burkina-

Faso.

• Lubcon South Sudan: was incorporated in 2012 to key into the

emerging business in the Republic of South Sudan.


Corporate Social Responsibility

• Lubcon believes in giving back to the societies in which it

operates. It cares for its staff, the environmental and its host

communities.

• Lubcon sponsors Football, Baseball and Softball teams. Lubcon

has been sponsoring the Kwara State Principals Cup Football

Competition since 2005; with over 300 Secondary Schools

participating annually.

• Lubcon offers annual entrepreneurship awards to students of

Engineering, Science, Entrepreneurship and Information

Technology at the Kwara State University, Malete. Lubcon has

sponsored the production of text books on Entrepreneurship for

Senior Secondary Schools in Nigeria.

Engr. Jani Ibrahim – Chairman, FNSE, FAEng, FNIM, OON, mni

B.Sc Mechanical Engineering, Member Energy Institute of United

kingdom (MEI UK). Before founding Lubcon, he worked with African

Petroleum and Unipetrol, where he rose to become the CEO of SPDC (a

Unipetrol-NNPC JV), he was also a onetime MD of Nigeria Airways. He is

an alumnus of the Harvard Business School (HBS) and the Prestigious

National Institute for Policy & Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru. He is a

National Vice President of Nigerian Association of Chambers,

Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA).

Chief K. E. K. Onwunta – Acting Group Managing Director

B.Sc Hons Geography, MILR, FCIPM, FNIM, MIOD. Has over 37 years

cognate experience in Industry with exposure in the Oil and Gas,

Financial Services and Consulting Sectors. He is an alumnus of the Lagos

Business School (AMP8). Prior to joining Lubcon Limited he had worked

for African Petroleum PLC as Personnel and Administration Manager,

Director Human Resources at IRMG and Chief Executive Officer of

Scheduled Investment & Projects Limited.

Mr. T. O. Williams – Managing Director

HND Science Technology, MBA. Member Institute of Public Analyst of

Nigeria; Fellow Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria; Member

Chemical Society of Nigeria; Associate Member National Institute of


Marketing of Nigeria. Since joining Lubcon in 1994 he has served in

various capacities - Quality Controller, Plant Manager, General Manger

Manufacturing and General Manager Commercial.

Mr. Soji Fagbemi - Group Executive Director, Operations

B.Sc Microbiology, M.Sc Medical Microbiology. Prior to joining Lubcon

in 1996, Mr. Fagbemi had worked as Production Controller, Operations

Manager and Business Development Manager at Foremost Dairies,

Lagos and Daylight Industries, Lagos.

Mr. Umoru Mohammed – Executive Director, Business Development

B.Sc Hons Economics, MBA. He was a General Manager in Trade Bank

before the banking consolidation exercise. He is an astute Banker with

25 years experience in both Banking and Business Development. He

joined Lubcon in 2010.

Mr. Hussein Yakubu – Executive Director, Finance & Accounts

B.Sc Economics, M.Sc Economics, MBA. He has over 27 years

experience in the Nigeria Business and Financial Services Sector. He

served in various senior management positions both at NAL Merchant

Bank Plc (now Sterling Bank Plc) and Diamond Bank Plc. He left

Diamond Bank for private practice as financial/business advisory


consultant before joining Lubcon Group as General Manager, Finance in

2011.

Mr. Toyin Oyewole – Group Business Strategist

B.Sc Finance, ACA. He has over 25 years post graduation experience in

finance and technology. He held key positions at Citibank, Nigeria and

at Internet Technologies Ltd before joining Lubcon.

Mrs. Christy Orji - General Manager, Human Capital Management

ACIA, ACIPM, MBA. A graduate in Corporate Managerial Administration.

She has over 15 years experience in Human Resources Management
