Many of you have noticed a lot of activity on the second floor-C side. We are very pleased to welcome our newest tenant, Nature’s Way to Suite 210C at Butler Square. Nature’s Way began back In 1968 when Tom Murdock, the founder of Nature's Way, was desperately searching for a way to improve his wife's failing health. After relying on conventional options without success, Tom turned to the traditional Native American knowledge of the healing power of plants growing near his Arizona home. As a result, his wife's health improved and she lived another 25 years. Tom's quest to help his wife led to an herbal renaissance in America and the creation of Nature's Way. By 1969, Tom was providing eight herbal remedies to friends, family, and a small number of health food retailers. Now 49 years later, Nature's Way is the preeminent brand of quality dietary supplements. For almost five decades, Nature's Way has been at the forefront of the dietary supplement industry. An early leader in educating consumers and retailers on the effectiveness and safety of natural nutritional supplements, and have always supported legislative efforts that help protect health freedoms, and are constantly striving to promote better health through the power of nature. Nature's Way began to look for a new place to relocate the Consumer Demand Team from their location in Utah. Minneapolis, which is only a 40-minute flight to the Nature's Way corporate headquarters in Green Bay, was chosen for its culture, its highly educated and productive labor force, and its trendy urban flair. The Warehouse District was the ideal location because of the historical buildings but functional, as well as the convenient access from many surrounding cities. The owners and management team were attracted to Butler Square because of the large, open office areas that allow for better team collaboration. The history and "character" of the building along with the large windows, which provide a lot of natural light, represented the atmosphere the company intended to create for the new team.

Treasure (from the Greek θησαυρός - thēsauros, meaning "treasure store", is a concentration of riches, often those that originate from ancient history, considered lost and/or forgotten until being rediscovered. When repairs have been needed to the floors of Butler Square, the floor is opened up to reveal all kinds of interesting items from the past. One of the items found while work was being done under the floor in the east atrium was a slightly broken glass jar. After some checking, it matches a 1898 WBC blown glass half pint canning fruit jar which could have been one of the items brought in by construction workers or sold by the Butler Brothers in the 1900’s when they had a mail-order wholesale business selling general and variety-store items. As they say “one man’s junk is another man’s treasure”.

HEALTHY TIPS FOR SITTING AT YOUR DESK
www.SixWise.com
In general, sitting at a desk for too long is not a health-promoting thing to do. Sitting at a desk all day greatens the risk of being overweight, risk of back pain, leg cramps, tense muscles, and of course boredom.
• Keep your body in a neutral position (choose a chair that
supports your back, sit up straight and keep your knees at a
90 degree angle, flat to the floor).
• Move around often (take frequent breaks to stretch).
• Reduce repetitive movements (keep items you use often
within arm’s reach to reduce repetitive movements).
• Keep your computer monitor in a healthy position (directly
in front of you at least 20” away and the top of your screen
should be at or below your eye level).
• Look away from your compueter screen often (taking your
eyes away from the display monitor every 20 minutes and
staring into the distance for 20 seconds will help prevent
fatigued, irritated, and dry eyes).
• Keep your keyboard and other accessories clean (desks can
harbor bacteria-clean surfaces once per day or, depending on
need, more frequently during flu season or if others use your
office equipment regularly).
• Declutter your desk (save yourself mental strife toss or file
your papers-clutter isn’t good).
• Don’t keep junk food at your desk (junk food can cause slug-
gishness, feeling tired or guilty-keep a supply of healthy
snacks).
• Make your desk your own (adding a few personal items to
your work area will make your desk more enjoyable to work
at).
