Introduction  This is a book about the possibility of what practicing Radical Appreciation can do for your life, both internally and externally. When you live primarily in a state of appreciation, or what I’ve deemed RADICAL appreciation, you are tuned to the resonance of the fastest moving energy in the Universe, where miracles become the norm!!!  So, what is this idea of Radical Appreciation? Well, let’s break it down, shall we?!!!  Radical has been defined as: Extreme; thorough.

Appreciation has been defined as: A recognition of the quality, value, significance or magnitude of people and things.

So I’ve defined Radical Appreciation as: An extreme and thorough awareness and recognition of the Love, beauty, perfection and magnificence in ALL things and ALL people.

This 30‐day program is designed to insert appreciation into your life gradually and radically. It is designed to stretch your mind and tune your emotions toward radically appreciating everything and everyone in your experience, until it becomes a natural pattern of thinking and feeling. In fact, I must warn you…if you aren’t ready to experience an insane amount of Love, Joy, Happiness and Freedom, you may want to stop reading now. Just kidding…I know that you wouldn’t be reading this if you weren’t serious about being happy and experiencing more freedom in your life. After all, isn’t that what we’re all looking for? Freedom?

The challenge is, most people associate freedom to the external world. Get the job, get the house, get the car, get the lover, get the promotion, get the boat, retire and die…there’s nothing wrong with this, and in fact, many people do achieve financial freedom to experience what ever they want to in life…and I wonder, how many people who are financially free are experiencing emotional freedom? And I want it to be clear, I’m not dogging or judging anyone who is financially free, because I am in the process of being financially free…My point is, not all people who are financially free are emotionally free and what is external freedom if we are living in an internal prison…?

I work with clients all the time who are very well off financially, but are struggling emotionally, and although this book isn’t focused on how to become financially free, Radical Appreciation is directly tied to financial freedom and is a key component to attracting wealth and prosperity in your life. And the more you radically appreciate your money, no matter how much or how little you may have, you will begin to attract more of it. A small part of this 30‐day program is to practice ways to appreciate your money, because there are so many negative associations to money, and it deserves to be looked at.

This book is designed so that each day builds upon itself, offering more and more ways to discover a deep level of appreciation in your life. We’ll start off slow and work our way into making radical appreciation a state of being. If you commit to this program and play FULL‐OUT, you will tune your mind so that you see the best in everything and everyone. You will condition your emotional state of being to a place of rich satisfaction and you will discover a well‐spring of deep appreciation within you that was there all along.

This 30‐day project is about finding inner freedom. It’s about accepting what is in every moment. It’s about seeing everything as perfect. It’s about loving yourself unconditionally. It’s about accepting everyone just the way they are. It’s about accepting and embracing everything that flows through your life experience. It’s about conditioning your mind to look for the best in every situation It’s about consciously creating new rules for the game of life. Rules that make it easy to win!! It’s about giving up on trying so hard. It’s about seeing the beauty that life offers in every moment.  It’s about letting go of the idea of competition. It’s about evaporating the idea of not being good enough. It’s about changing the way you see life. It’s about changing the way you see yourself. It’s about changing the way you experience the world around you. It’s about making appreciation a daily part of your life. And most of all, it’s about finding  a sense of FREEDOM  Are you ready to begin your journey into Radical Appreciation? Ok, let’s go!

Day 1: Self Appreciation Reflective Appreciation  I’ve spent most of my life judging other people. I’ve spent most of my life judging myself. I’ve spent most of my life not seeing the perfection that was present outside of my awareness. Now, don’t get me wrong, I had glimpses of it, but I wasn’t seeing the beauty of life the way I do now. I was conditioned to go get more, do more, have more, achieve more…and again, there is nothing wrong with this way of experiencing life. There’s nothing wrong with any way of experiencing life…and that was where I was missing the boat. I was judging things based on right and wrong. Good and bad. Better and worse.

When someone filters their experience through this window of perception, it creates the context for competition and comparison. And my truth is, comparison can serve and it can hinder. It is the basis of all self‐distorted images people have of themselves. As an example, anorexia is nothing more than a comparison of some impossible expectation they have in their mind of what they should look like according to the social standards of beauty.  Low self‐esteem is nothing more than a distorted self‐image created from consistent self‐judgments and limiting self‐talk.   The point I want to make it this…suffering comes from not accepting and appreciating what is. When we can’t accept and appreciate ourselves for who we are and where we are in life, we will suffer. Period. It’s like trying to make a cat bark….have you ever tried making a cat bark? How do you think it might go if you did? Not well I’m guessing. Isn’t that what we do by not accepting ourselves and our lives the way it is? The fact of the matter is, you turned out just the way you turned out, whether you like it or not. You can either choose to judge yourself, or accept and appreciate yourself, and I have to tell you, it’s a lot more fun to accept and appreciate yourself!! It all comes down to choice. Are you choosing to suffer, or are you choosing to accept what is? If you got a cat, expecting it to bark, you’d be pretty disappointed. But if you turned to that cat, and accepted that it isn’t going to bark, your disappointment would diminish.   This 30‐day project is designed to begin retraining your brain to look for the goodness of life, including and especially you  You are so beautiful. You are so amazing. You are precious beyond words. You are so unique….so unique in fact, that you’re like a snowflake…no two are exactly the

  4

same. Take a moment right now and look at your finger print…just take a quick look…go ahead…ok, notice the grooves, the patterns…see it? And now realize that no one on the planet shares that same fingerprint!! Isn’t that cool!!   In the comparison of others, we train our brain to look for what’s wrong in us. In self‐judgment, we train out patterns of thinking to see what’s missing. And instead of seeing our unique beauty, we train our brain to delete that information, and only to see what’s wrong. So now, as we re‐train your patterns of thinking to begin looking for things to appreciate about life and yourself, over time, you will automatically begin seeing the true beauty of yourself    So, by writing and feeling 20 things you appreciate about life more consistently, not only do you begin to train your mind to look for the good in you, you also begin to change your bio‐chemistry. Every thought you think is creating chemicals that flood your body, which then fuse with the cells of your body, then you feel that chemical fusion in the form of feelings. And when you think self‐deprecating thoughts, you flood your body with self‐deprecating chemicals. In his book, Evolve Your Brain – The Science of Changing Your Mind, Joe Dispenza discusses this scientific fact in depth, and the feeling we feel are from the thoughts we think.   Quick Practice:  Sit back, wherever you are, and try on these two thoughts. Ready?  Repeat to yourself, “I’m not good enough” and notice the feeling that comes with it…  Now, Repeat to yourself, “I am perfect just the way I am” and notice how that thought feels…  Can you feel the difference? What you felt was a different cascade of chemicals entering your blood stream and fusing with the cells of your body. Every thought you think is an electrical impulse in your brains neurological network and there is a part of your brain called the Hypothalamus. Think of the Hypothalamus as the converter. Part of its job is to convert the electrical impulses into the bio‐chemical equivalent, then transmitting those chemicals to the cells of your body, so you can feel your patterns of thinking in the form of chemicals flooding your body.   Ok, for you non‐science minds, sorry to bore you ;) It is, however, important to at least have an understanding of what is happening inside you as you think the thoughts you think. If you can experience the difference, you can begin to imagine the effect these chemicals can have over the course of years and years of negative thinking and conditioning, and this radical appreciation program is designed to re‐pattern the flood of those poisonous chemicals. It’s interesting to think about, isn’t it, how each thought you think is creating chemicals that are fusing with billions of cells in your body to produce the way you are feeling in each moment.   Quick Story: The man who would die for riches There was a man who was poor and would do anything for wealth and riches, thinking it would make him happy. One day, this poor man was approached by a mystical man who offered this poor man riches beyond his wildest dreams…under one condition…that he take a drop of an unknown substance every day for one year. Each day he would ingest this unknown substance, and after each drop ingested, he would receive onemillion dollars in cash. The man quickly agreed, thinking, “how bad can one drop be.” So, he began taking one tiny little drop of this mysterious liquid everyday and after the ingestion of each drop, as promised, the mystery man gave the poor man a million dollars.

At first, the poor man was so excited that the riches were flowing like crazy, he didn’t notice how bad and odd the drop tasted. He ignored the bad taste and bad feelings he would get from taking the drop. He went on and bought a luxurious house, with a luxurious car.  He had all these new friends. He bought the friends he had nice things and gave his family everything they wanted…but over a few months, he began to feel ill, and even though he was rich beyond his wildest dreams, he was bed ridden after a several months, unable to enjoy his newfound wealth. Still wanting the riches to come and keep his new found lifestyle, he stayed true to his commitment, and he continued to take in the mystery mans liquid, all the while getting more and more rich… AND more and more sick. The once poor man had everything he thought he wanted, but he was unable to enjoy the fruits of his riches because of the toll that this mysterious liquid substance had taken over his body. One day, the man was found dead of poisoning…all because he thought that one tiny drop a day couldn’t hurt him.   Moral of the story is, no amount of money can buy happiness. No amount of external “stuff” can buy it. Happiness is free, because we have the free will to choose the thoughts we think in every moment. And every thought you think is producing a chemical, and you may be thinking, “how bad can one negative thought pattern be…” Well, that’s up to you to decide, and know that with each thought you think, you are either heightening the vitality of your body, or you are poisoning it…you get to choose. And since you are using your mind to bathe your body with chemicals in every moment, why not bathe yourself in good feeling chemicals that support your emotional well‐being? Just an possibility!!   So, by practicing the power of appreciation, you will begin to feel better about yourself, and you will have more energy and vitality to live with. You will condition your mind to see the beauty in yourself. To see that you have value, and you are worthy of all things you consider good  So here is the essence of the exercise:

• At the top of the page, write 20 things I appreciate about myself • Check in with your feelings and just notice how you feel before beginning… • Ask yourself, “what do I appreciate about myself?”

o Really ponder this question and wait for an answer to come to you • Write this answer down and FEEL the way it FEELS to appreciate each one • After you find 20 things, check in with your feelings again and notice how you feel…

o Notice if there a difference in what you felt before you began versus the end?   20 things I appreciate about myself  1) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 3) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 4) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 5) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 6) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 7) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 8) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 9) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Your life is a product of your attention.  Because your brain is a vast storehouse of ideas, thoughts, memories, beliefs and associations, what you choose to focus on, will become your experience. Your brain doesn’t know what time is. It thinks everything is happening right now(and it is…but that’s another story ;) And because it doesn’t know time, every thought you think is literally happening in that split frame of time...so, as you focus, you experience.   The beautiful thing about the conscious mind is that when you become aware and in the present moment, you can begin to direct it in which ever direction you want, and the brilliant brain will think it’s happening now. So, as you end your day and look for the things that went well in your mind, you will literally start hi‐lighting the experiences that brought you joy and appreciation. You then begin to program your brain to believe that only good things happened and over time, you will condition and train your brain to keep an eye out for more things to appreciate.

There is a part of your brain called the Reticular Activating System, or RAS. This part of your brain helps notice the things you place your dominant attention on. For example, have you ever bought a new car and all of the sudden you see that car everywhere you go? That’s your RAS at work. This tiny part of your brain will help you notice more of what your focus and attention is on. So, if you are, at the end of the day, noticing things to appreciate from the day, what do you think your RAS is going to notice more of? That’s right, more things to appreciate!  We’re so amazing, aren’t we?!!? I mean, seriously, we are the programmers of our own minds and what we focus on, we will receive more of!! If you’re familiar with the Law of Attraction, you know that like energy attracts like energy. This is evident in so many places in life. For example, notice how in high schools how there are “clicks” of people. You have your jocks, preps, nerds, cheerleaders, goths, etc. Why do you suppose this happens?   Let’s take a personal example from your own experience. Can you think of a time when you knew something bad was on the horizon, then it happened? Why do you suppose you knew? Well, as you think thoughts of similar resonance, those thoughts begin to build energy the more you think them, whether it is conscious or unconscious. After time of building up negative unconscious thought patterns, they begin to also produce negative emotional patterns, and if you don’t pay attention to the way you feel, you won’t become aware of the pattern to change them. In my A.W.A.R.E. coaching model, which is a breakthrough coaching model, the middle a in the acronym stands for Awareness. With awareness, you can change anything, but if you aren’t aware of the stream of thoughts your thinking, your RAS is still going to focus your attention on the resonance of experience that you’ve been unconsciously thinking about, and next thing you know, you’ve attracted an experience into your life that is in harmony with your dominant thought patterns.   The Law of Attraction states – That which is like unto itself is drawn; or like attracts like. Essentially, you are a physical energy field participating, or interacting, or cooperating in what Quantum Physicists are calling the Unified Field…our magical Universe. The energy that surrounds you in every direction is being manipulated and altered energetically by your mental and emotional output(or projection, or emanation, or discharge). And as you constantly discharge your energy into the Universe, you are altering and reorganizing this field of intelligence to attract the people, circumstances and events that are matching your dominant belief systems.  Do you remember a time when you were thinking about someone and not long after they called you, or you ran into them? Do you notice that when you get a new car, you seem to see the same car all over the place? Can you sometimes sense when something bad is going to happen? Can you sometimes sense when something good is going to happen? This is your innate ability to interpret the inner vibration patterns stemming from your belief systems, or conditioned programming which allow you to feel when something is going to manifest in your life.  For example, if you can think of a radio station(93.3 FM) and how you are able to tune in to this frequency to hear the music. As they offer the signal of 93.3 from their broadcasting antennas, anyone who has a radio can tune their radio frequency to harmonize with this signal and listen to the music being transmitted through this radio frequency. So as you offer and tune in to the frequency from your radio, you match the frequency offered by the radio station and you can tell you have harmonized with it by the clarity of the sound…this is called Resonance.

You are offering the frequency of your beliefs through your mental and emotional outputs in every moment. Those belief frequencies are then being matched, and then are drawn to you in the form of people, conversations, events and all circumstances that now surround you. Your job, relationships, and every outer circumstance and event is the effect of the cause you set in motion from the output of your dominant patterns of thinking, or your belief systems.  As your beliefs offer their own vibrational frequencies, you can try to catch the resonance of them by consciously adjusting the dial of your awareness toward your dominant thoughts, or by feeling the emotions that are created from the output of your beliefs and thoughts. Your conscious awareness of your dominant thoughts and emotions give you the opportunity to use your free will to choose a new thought, creating a new feeling, and jolting the old limiting belief frequency with the new empowering thought vibration…Or you can go to the root of the cause by discovering the limiting belief and consciously change the station and tune‐in to a new belief, which will send out a new frequency of thoughts, emotions, behaviors and will harmonize with the people, circumstances and events that match that new frequency.  The belief frequencies you emit is being reflected back to you in the form you call physical reality. Your outer reality is a reflection of the inner belief systems that you are projecting in every moment. With every heartbeat, you are pulsating your energetic frequency spherically out into the universe, and you are attracting like energy back to you in all forms. In other words, your beliefs are creating your reality, and in order to harmonize with your conscious desires, you must change the frequency of your belief.  I know, I know, it’s a lot of info to take in on day one of radical appreciation, but what it does for us is set a nice foundation, so when you attract an experience in the next 30 days that blows your mind, you’ll have an understanding why!    So, this is why tuning yourself to the vibration of appreciation is vital to attracting a life experience that will leave you in radical appreciation. As you tune yourself to this fast moving state of being, the people, circumstances, events, opportunities and resources necessary to live a joyful life will begin to be reflected in your experience, and as you continue to radically appreciate those resources that show up, they must keep coming…skeptical? Well, if you’re skeptical going through this process, that skepticism will muffle your appreciation and you’ll attract the like. So, if you’re serious about creating a life worth appreciating(which is right in front of you), remove your skepticism and give yourself to gift of freedom…you’ll appreciate yourself for following through!   At days end, write in your journal about the things you appreciated about your day Ok, so here is how the end of the day process will go:

• Set aside 20 minutes before you go to bed • Put some nice, easy background music on(optional) • Take a couple of nice deeps breaths in, and try to anticipate the feeling of appreciation… • Begin looking at the beginning of your day and look for the first experience that brought you a

good feeling… • As soon as you find this experience, begin free writing about it...write as much as you can about

the details of the experience as you can… • Then allow that experience to bleed into the next experience that brought you good feelings. • Continue to follow the trail of the day, writing the details of each segment of experience you

enjoyed

• Allow your self to be immersed in the feelings of the day, radically appreciating each moment, until you bring youself to the end of your day.

• Go through the day again and see if you missed any radical appreciative moments  Reflective Appreciation: ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________  Now, what about those moments that weren’t so good…? Well, here is a nice tool that will help you reframe those seemingly negative experiences into positive one’s. Here is another important nugget of wisdom that can free you of some psychological chains…ready?

Nothing has any meaning, only the meaning you give it.

Did you get that? Look at it again if you need to. It’s big. So big in fact that this understanding alone can free so much of your emotional energy. Think about this for a moment. Have you ever went to a movie with a friend and they hated it and you loved it? Same movie right? Yes, but different interpretation. Each person is experiencing reality based upon their own meanings and conditioned responses, and being able to reframe negative experiences in our lives is a powerful way to shift the emotional content of an experience. Here are the 3 steps to reframing a negative experience to a positive one: 1) Think of a seemingly negative experience you’ve had 2) ...step back from the experience and look at it from a 3rd persons perspective(as if you’re watching it on a movie screen) and ask the all important question: "What meaning am I placing on this experience?" When you find the automatic response meaning, ask... 3) ..."what else could this mean?" Try on 3 or 4 different possibilities and choose the meaning that feels the best and empowers you the most. Kind of like trying on hats... try on a few and take the one the feels the best :)

Examples:  A bad breakup could initially mean that someone isn’t loveable. Another meaning could be that there is someone else out there even better for that person.   Being laid off from a job could initially mean that the person is a failure. Another meaning could be that there is another calling for that person.  Someone cutting you off on the highway could initially mean the don’t respect you. Another meaning could be that they were on their way to the emergency room because their daughter got in a death threatening car accident.  Try it out for yourself in the space below: Think of a not pleasant experience you had today:  _____________________________________________________________________________________________________  Now, think of a different, more empowering meaning for the experience:  _____________________________________________________________________________________________________  Can you feel the difference between the 2 meanings? What if you were able to re‐frame negative  experiences all the time? Can you see how things would have less charge to them? Can you see how you might not take things so seriously? It might be a little tough at first, but if you persist, you’ll be able to reframe any experience just by asking this all important question: What else could this mean?

Day 2:  20 things you appreciate most about your job/career Reflective Appreciation  How often are people complaining about work?? When I was in the corporate world, I heard these statements over and over again: I hate Mondays… It’s Wednesday, hump day… Thank God It’s Friday… 1 more hour left until quitting time… It’s almost beer:30…  And the  list goes on and on…can you think of some you can add to it? I’m sure you can. I always wondered why people complain about work so much. Not that it was a paradise for me, but what if people consciously looked for things to appreciate in their work? Because I’m sure, if you looked around, you could find some things that you can be really grateful for in your work, couldn’t you? I mean, it can’t be that hard…and this is what day 2 is about; re‐connecting and finding things to appreciate about your work. So, let’s get started, because remember, when you can train your brain to find things you are grateful for on a consistent basis, you will tune your mind to look for the positive aspects in all of life. Alright, here we go!

Day 4:  20 things you appreciate most about your dad  Reflective Appreciation   Yes, dad deserves to be appreciated too!! I hear sometimes that dad was physically abusive. I didn’t say this 30‐day program was going to be easy!! Forgiving and letting go can be one of the most freeing acts of kindness you do for YOURSELF…No matter how much of an asshole mom or dad might have been, they did the best they could with the resources they had…if they could have done any better, they would have…and in fact, we can’t give something we don’t have ourselves, and if they were less than loving, it’s most likely because they didn’t have love present inside themselves. So let them off the hook once and for all and begin looking at all the good things they provided for you. There is a quote that is really powerful and will help put this into perspective…say this out loud: “Resentment is the poison I drink hoping you’ll die.” Stop drinking poison and find ways to forgive and appreciate your parents!!!    20 things I appreciate about my Dad:  1) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 3) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 4) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 5) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 6) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 7) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 8) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 9) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 10) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 11) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 12) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 13) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 14) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 15) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 16) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 17) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 18) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 19) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ 20) _____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Page 38: The Radical Appreciation Project · 2 Introduction This is a book about the possibility of what practicing Radical Appreciation can do for your life, both

  38

Meditation Mantra  Now that you’ve allowed yourself to experience the appreciation meditation walk, now It’s time to turn it into a sitting meditation!! If you’ve never studied, or experienced  meditation, here is a simple way to look at it. Science has shown that we think roughly 60,000 thoughts per day. 90% of those 60,000 thoughts are unconscious patterns of thinking. So, what that means is, 54,000 thoughts we think are unconscious!! What this means is that your unconscious belief systems are running your life!!   One of the most effective way to create new positive thought patters is to find neutral space so you can become more aware of the thoughts that are bringing you down versus the thoughts are taking you up! What that means is, when you are able to quiet your mind, you can slow the patterns of thinking down so that you can become more aware of them. In order to change anything, you must first become aware of what needs to be changed, so you can change it. Meditating on a mantra, or a short statement is an easy way to slow down your patterns of thinking long enough to begin feeling a state of nothingness or solitude.   So, beginning day 21, you’ll begin to practice a meditation mantra of “thank you”. It’s very similar to your walking appreciation exercise, only you’ll be sitting silently and repeating in your mind, “thank you” and if any other thoughts sneak in there, just let them go!! Here is a quick 3‐step process for practicing this meditation mantra:

• Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed and get comfortable… • Take 3 really deep, slow breaths in and allow yourself to relax as much as you can… • Begin repeating the phrase, “thank you” as quickly or as slowly as you’d prefer over and over

for about 20 minutes  Finding what you appreciate in others  When I began practicing this appreciation work, I began looking for exercises I could apply into my daily life that would allow me to experience more and more appreciation. One day, I as having a conversation with one of my dear friends, and I began noticing how annoyed I was at his complaining and bitching about his day. I kept focusing on how much I disliked it and it completely brought my energy down. In that moment, I thought, man is he really passionate about this…and my energy shifted from one of judgment, to one of appreciation!! Then I thought to myself, I said, “self, what if you appreciated one thing in everyone you come into contact with…?” Ding ding!! Another exercise for me to practice Radical Appreciation!! So, I began applying it immediately and boy what a difference!! Now, when I’m in conversations, I’m always looking for one thing I appreciate about the person, and this has transformed the way I experience people!!!   I’m curious, how would your conversations change if you began to focus on one thing you appreciate about every person you talk with? Well, here is your chance to find out!! Another exercise we are going to apply over the next 10 days is finding what you appreciate in others. Here is a quick 3 point process you’ll apply into every conversation:

• Find your self in a conversation • Look for one thing you appreciate about that person

o Bonus: Tell them what you appreciate about them!!

  39

And don’t be hard on yourself if you miss someone, just do your best to find something you appreciate about everyone you come into contact with!!    Writing Thank You Letters  So, you’ve become pretty good at telling people you care about that you appreciate them, right!!?? Good! Now is a powerful opportunity to begin writing people you care about thank you letters. That’s right, sending people you care about thank you letters to show your appreciation! Can you think of a time when you received a card in the mail from someone…remember how it felt? Remember how great it was to receive that acknowledgement? Now it’s your turn to give back!! Every day for the next 10 days, you’ll be sending thank you cards to people you appreciate, letting them know how much you appreciate your relationship with them! How cool is that!?! Not only will you get the benefit of getting a call from them in a few days of them letting you know how your thank you card brightened their day, or made them cry tears of joy, or helped them get out of the dumps, but you’ll also have the added benefit of feeling the joy of actually writing the letter!! Remember FOCUS = FEELING and when you are focusing on how much you appreciate them, you get the feel the radical appreciation that comes from focusing your attention on writing the letters, so what are we waiting for, let’s go!!!   Day 21:  20 minute Meditation Mantra Find one thing to appreciate in every person you talk today Write one thank you letter to someone you care about Reflective Appreciation   Thank you letter to: ________________________________________________ Mailed? ________ (Yes or no)   Reflective appreciation: ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Congratulations!! You made it!! You know, it takes a committed soul and a deep hunger to create change in your life and the lives of others to take a journey like this! My intention for the 30‐days is that you found how valuable practicing appreciation is in life! I sincerely hope you found some powerful ways and tools to continue the process of appreciating you and your life!!

Many people who go through this program experience a deeper sense of joy and freedom than they have in a long time, and here is a caveat…now that you have an emotional experience of what it’s like to radically appreciate, the old patterns of not feeling good enough, or seeing the lack in things will be activated and heightened when you begin thinking those old thought patterns!

The key is to become aware of when you are deviating from the energy and vibration of appreciation so that you can return to that high vibration feeling whenever you want!! I hope that you get a deep sense of what it feels like, and how to get yourself back to a state of appreciation. You’ve spoiled the cells of your body, and anytime you deviate away from appreciation, it will be more painful because of the vast difference in emotional resonance!!

I encourage you to take the exercises and tools that resonate with you most and make them a daily practice and habit. Practicing appreciation should be no different than brushing your teeth to maintain the health of your teeth, or working out to maintain the strength of your body, or drinking water to stay hydrated and nourished.

When you can nourish your mind and emotions with hi energy thoughts and feelings, you run less of a risk of getting ill…you run a higher risk of being happy…you create opportunities to see things differently…you strengthen relationships with people you care about…you generate more joy and Love in your life…you find a deeper appreciation for yourself and others…

When you make appreciation a daily practice, you operate from a space of clarity, allowing you to experience life in a way that frees you from the chains of comparison and competition. When you appreciate everything you have in your life, you can be at peace with what you‘ve created while still reaching for more…Your relationships will blossom, your self‐confidence will raise, your attraction factor will heighten and you will see all things and all people through a new filter…a filter that gives you the experience that all is well, and all is perfect in your world.

Imagine being at peace with your spouse, your job, your income, your relationships, and most importantly yourself. Take this experience and apply into your life daily applications of radical appreciation. Don’t let this be one of those books you get a nice experience from then place it on the shelves or in your computer, never opening it again, or never using the tools again. The world needs more Love and appreciation and by you playing your part, you will have an impact on others to live a life of radical appreciation, and to be more kind and gentle with themselves.

You are the creator of your life, and you have choice in every moment. I invite you to choose to appreciate. I invite you to choose to Love. I invite you to choose to Love yourself. I invite you to make appreciation as important as breathing…and don’t do it for anyone else other than you, for when you are joyous, Loving and authentic, you unconsciously give others permission to do the same.

Namaste
