The reality of the Flash Prayer Taken from an eye witnessaccount, and what the Ulema really need to hear.

Bismillah -ir -Rahmaan -ir -Raheem,

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, I testify that there isno god worthy of worship except Allah, alone and with nopartner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave andmessenger, may prayers and peace be upon him, his family and allof his companions. Ameen

After seeing the fitnah, slander and scholarly debate on thismatter I have taken it upon myself , as a simple Muslim whowitnessed the flash prayer with my own eyes to speak out. AsAllah as my witness I will use proof from photos I have takenbecause I cannot guarantee that my word will be of any worth toanyone as I have seen many lies, deceptive questions, ambiguitywhich began this fitnah and slandering of brother Jalal ibn Saeed.

O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions, indeed somesuspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another.Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Youwould hate it (so hate backbiting) . And fear Allah. Verily, Allahis the One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful.

I believe this campaign has been created to smear a brother moreso than to stop an activity taking place as no one approached thebrother in question to advise (though instructed many times), oreven clarify the reality of the matter. Nor can I say those whohave declared their ruling on the matter initially (the brother ofCTI) witnessed the flash prayer for themselves. Thus as a witnessif the truth is to be sought than my witness account should betaken into consideration before further damaging fatwas are

release due to scholars being misinformed about the matter fromthe brothers at CTI.

I am not a scholar, and I am not here to give my Islamic opinion, I

am here as a Muslim doing my duty of enjoining good forbiddingevil, Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoiningwhat is right, forbidding what is wrong , and believing in Allah. Ifonly the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them:among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors.(3:110)

Speaking out against a wrong

The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,said, "Help your brother, wronging or wronged." A man said,"Messenger of Allah, I can help him if he is wronged but tell mehow I can help him if he is wronging?" He said, "You can restrainhim - or prevent him - from injustice. That is helping him." [al-Bukhari]

More importantly protecting the honour of another Muslim.

He reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him andgrant him peace, said, "Do not envy one another, do not bidagainst on another, bidding in order to raise the price, do not hateone another, do not turn your backs on one another, and none ofyou should sell against the sale of anyone else. Be slaves of Allah,brothers. A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim: he shouldnot wrong him nor scorn him nor disappoint him. Godfearing is

here," and he pointed to his breast three times. "It is enough evil for man to scorn his Muslim brother. The blood, property andhonour of a Muslim is unlawful to another Muslim." [Muslim]

The Flash Prayer It has come to us that a group called Jamaat Times aknew baby of 1 Eid are conducting a flash prayer in some major cities inUK, from them our town Luton and Trafalgar Square have been appointed.They all intend to pray salatul Asr outside in these open public places in jamaat, they are indirectly calling all the Muslims to leave the masaajids,included in their call are the women as they did not make anydistinction. This is their way of celebrating the new year, this is their way ofmaking a mark for 2012. So they are holding it on 1st January 2012.

There is a group calling to the establishment of a prayer called FlashPrayer, its details are as follows: they have raised a call to all Muslim inmost cities in UK to gather in a specific location like a town Centre and theypray a particular prayer like Asr for example at one time in that specificlocation, all on the same day. And they chose the New Years Day of this

year 2012 for this event.

They strove extremely hard in advertising and marketing this event. Theyused all available methods of modern technology such as phones, Internet,social networking and they expected five thousand attendees and theywere pushing for ten thousand. They actually carried out this prayer on theday specified which was today 1/1/2012 the non-Muslims new years day,they conducted this in many cities. They said the reason for them choosingthis day specifically was that they desired to dedicate the year 2012 as theyear of congregational prayer in UK.

They used in their marketing the word flash in English, which is linked to

dancing and protests and anything that appears all of a sudden anddisappears all of a sudden. They said, from the objectives of this salat are:

1) Dawah

2) Unity of the Ummah

3) Dedicating this year as the year of congregational prayer

4) Fun and a cool event for the youth

Flash is the coming together all of a sudden of an action. Flashalso relates to the method of communication used for thegathering, which is usually flash or quick methods such as text,social networks.

Although the initial point of the flash prayer was for

demonstrating the importance of salah in the Muslims life so thatwe pray wherever whenever;

1. For the benefit to encourage Muslims no to neglect the prayerbecause they are out or far from a masjid

2. To allow non Muslims to witness the devotion of the prayer of

the Muslim that is not neglected regardless of where they are.

3. To encourage dialogue between Muslims and non thus servingthe initial purpose of dawah.

4. Doing such an event would cause unity to the ummah thisbeing a figurity speech of uniting muslims in seeing theimportance of the prayer, ie uniting them upon : "Guard strictlythe (five obligatory) prayers" (Al Quran 2:238) and uniting themupon "The whole earth has been made for me a pure and cleanmosque" (Bukhari) , thus leaving the excuses of im not at home,or there isnt a masjid and instead establishing the prayer.

Although salah is a daily part of your life 5 times a day, notsomething all of a sudden, when outside in your daily dealingaway from ease of prayer the act of praying may to others be allof a sudden. Nevertheless if the problem is in the name of event,then I have heard from the brothers themselves that this namewould no longer be used to avoid fitnah.

5. The event was targeted at youth who tend to go out a lot andmiss their prayers. This was to break theirshyness/embarrassment to pray Salah instead purposefullymissing the prayer, thus is was fun so youth would do it.

2. Taken from the official press release I found on the websitethe following cities were trying to arrange this similar event;london, Luton leeds/bradford, huddersfield, Houston Texas,Irvine California. That is six locations, due to bad weatheringsome places did not hold their dawah stall and prayer.

3. Even though dawah stalls could not be put up, instead thebrothers handed out literature about Islam, basic teachingon islam and tawhid. ( see figure 2)

4. There was interest from non Muslim and two Muslims who joinedthe prayer as they passed by. (figure 3)

5. When the brothers arrived there was some Christians doing their

dawah and creating lies against Islam. The brothers being presentthere meant that Islam could be correctly portrayed and defendedinfront of the audience that were listening to the deception on Islamby the born again Christians. ( see figure 4)

hoping Authobillah why would brothers who are going to makedawah at the same time celebrate new years ?

They want to show big numbers, and put in awe the non muslims butthey are only decorating the outside of the house with nice colors anddcor whist the inside is filthy with cracks, and cobwebs.

As accusations and slander was not enough the brother nowdeclared the brothers as inside is filthy with cracks, andcobwebs.

I pray that the Ulema with all the wisdom and abilities that Allah

has granted them with, will justly make a decision on what is rightand what is wrong. I have met brother Jalal who I know to beupon the manhaj of the salafee. I believe that if you do not knowsomeone, if you have not spoken to someone to verify thesuspicious and accusation that have been created in your mindthen to make a decision to judge their Islam and legislate them tobe outside of folds of Islam is a grave and dangerous matter.

I pray the Ulema will look fairly at the words and the case of theaccused not only the accuser before any form of agreement ismade upon someones Islam, and I pray the Ulema will teach usbrothers the value of honour and protecting ourselves from slurs,slanders and lies all aiding in shytaans plot to ruin the dawah ofthose who are successful.

May Allah save us before the day of reckoning when the heartswill be open and exposed;

On the Day of Threat, they will be told:] "You were heedless ofthis, so We have stripped you of your covering and today yoursight is sharp." (Surah Qaf, 22)

The angels will be gathered round its edge. On that Day, eightwill bear the Throne of their Lord above their heads. On that Dayyou will be exposedno concealed act you did will stayconcealed. (Surat al-Haqqa, 17-18)

On the Day Allah raises up all of them together, He will informthem of what they did. Allah has recorded it while they haveforgotten it. Allah is a Witness of all things. (Surat al-Mujadala,6)

Please note I have chosen to remain anonymous though I attend and tookpictures as proof to what happened because of the statements Abdul Qadirmade which caused people to have doubt about these brothers. I went andwitnessed myself that all that was said by Abdul Qadir at his kutbah and hisfatwa he issued was untrue. I feared these same brothers from CTI will

begin to persecute me and caste doubts upon my Islam as they have donewith all those who do not agree with their ideas. Thus I have chosen toremain anonymous to protect myself from the bullying that takes placesamongst these salafees, but at the same time enjoin my obligations tospeak out against falsehood.
