Student Council urges Rebels not to text and driveStaff Reports
Student Council ad-viser Donna Holder, pictured at right, holds up a sign promoting Student Council’s cam-paign against texting and driving.
Council members made posters and stood in the parking lot and at school exit doors re-minding students about the dangers of texting and driving.
Holder said, “We are having a texting cam-paign next week where if students (16 and over) sign a banner not
to text and drive they will recieve a thumb ring that says “txtng kills” to remind them AGAINST texting and driving.”
Holder said that texting and driving is a serious problem and has caused a number of accidents leaving the parking lot.
“Lots of statistics about texting and driv-ing are found here www.textingndriving.com
