Since that time we celebrate the October 29 th as Republic Day in Turkey every year. On October 29 th the status of our nation was declared as Republic and the name of it was announced as the Republic of Turkey by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

We have celebrated the 90 th anniversary of the proclamation of Turkish republic this year. We also had a celebration at our school.
