●Important accessory in many

●May also be used to make an arrangement look more

●Tying bows is not difficult but requires practice

● Yellow, white, pink- Spring Time
● Silver, gold, glitter- New Years
Ribbon Type● Brocade: Heavy fabric interwoven
with a rich, raised design
● Picot: A small embroidered loop forming an ornamental edging on ribbon and lace
● Crown edge: A picot edge that is heat-pressed onto the ribbon
● Cut edge: Ribbon that is cut to size
● Woven: Ribbon that is woven to size
● Jacquard: A fabric with an intricately woven pattern
● Merrowed edge: The process of sewing a heavier thread around both the wire and the edge of the fabric for a finished edge
● Tapestry: A heavy, decorative cloth woven into a rich, multicolored design or scene
● Wired: Ribbon that is made with a piece of wire sewn along both edges of the ribbon

●Comes in a variety of sizes
●Ribbon size follows an industry standard
●Ribbons carry a number which is in reference to the width of the ribbon.
●The larger the number, the wider the ribbon
●Widths can also differ from manufacturer to manufacturer and from material to material
