If we want to become what Jesus envisions,as a church and as individuals then

we have to do our part.

Acts 6(page 834)

You have a PART to play.

Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.

Romans 12:4-6a

So if God has give you the ability to do prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.

Romans 12:6b-8

When you are full of the Holy Spirit,You are empowered for a purpose.

You have a PART to play.

You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:8

You have PART to play and the POWER to do it.

God has given each of you a gift from the great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

1 Peter 4:10

Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ.
