SELECTIE VAN PATIËNTENKLINISCHE INDICATIES
Voor standaardpompbehandeling gelden dezelfde klinische indicaties als voor SmartGuard™ technologie met
het MiniMed™ 670G-systeem. Met name voor de SmartGuard™ Automodus komen patiënten met diabetes
mellitus type 1 in aanmerking die 7 jaar of ouder zijn.
Wie komt in aanmerking voor de SmartGuard™ Automodus technologie?
WAARSCHUWINGMedtronic heeft een evaluatie uitgevoerd van het closed loop systeem van de MiniMed™ 670G en vastgesteld dat dit mogelijk niet veilig is voor gebruik bij kinderen onder de 7 vanwege de manier waarop het systeem is ontworpen en de dagelijkse insulinevereisten. Daarom mag dit apparaat niet worden gebruikt bij personen jonger dan 7 jaar. Dit apparaat mag evenmin worden gebruikt bij patiënten voor wie een dagelijkse dosis van minder dan 8 eenheden per dag is vereist, aangezien dit apparaat moet worden gebruikt met minimaal 8 eenheden per dag om veilig gebruik te garanderen.
