FIRST WORDThe beginning of the calendar year brings with it the chance to do things differently. It is also a good time to revisit your strategies, reexamine your progress and regroup to map where you stand versus the objectives you defined at the onset of calendar year 2016.

Our second issue features range of events, sponsorships, and newsworthy activities that kept the team busy and kept us close with our business partners.We are particularly proud of our association with the Karachi Biennale through the Reel on Hai project, which will see Pakistan Cables reels transformed into objects of art and displayed all over Karachi. We carried out several exciting events over the past few months including a Star Gala Night for our dealers in Lahore and the 5th Amir Chinoy Tape Tennis Cricket Tournament.

Pakistan Cables continues to move forward through our efforts across different functions, and this issue’s contents reflect that fact. The new year further gives us a chance to get things going together, as ONE team, with renewed drive, new strength and newer thoughts.

Pakistan Cables and Karachi Biennale Trust signed an

MoU earlier in July 2016 to collaborate on a public out

reach project, Reel On Hai, scheduled for completion by

October 2017. As the main activity partner for Reel On

Hai, Pakistan Cables is providing 100 drums to the

Karachi Biennale team who will transform cable reels into

pieces of art that will be installed in schools, public parks,

hospitals and universities across the city.

Each unique work of art will engage the community with activities designed around the work, to sensitize them to art and the role it can play to project the dynamism of our society.

Pakistan Cables organized the 5th Amir S.Chinoy Memorial Invitational Cricket Tournament from October 18-22, 2016 at the UBL Sports Complex. Teams from Pakistan Cables Limited, International Steels Limited, Intermark and International Industries Limited participated in the tournament.The chief guests for the event were Mr. Kamal A. Chinoy, Mr. Riyaz T. Chinoy, Mr. Samir M. Chinoy and Mr. Adnan Chinoy and the runners up for the tournament were Team Strikers from Pakistan Cables Limited. Whereas, the winning trophy was bagged by Team Defenders from International Steel and the runners’ up.

‘Why Pakistan Cables’ is a functional campaign initiated to highlight tangible features & attributes of the products and services offered by Pakistan Cables and to reinforce Pakistan Cables’ pioneer stature within the industry among consumers belonging to SEC A, Urban, and falling in the 24-55 years old age groups.

The campaign reached over 240,000 targeted users. Facebook Page Likes grew by 25%, Instagram followers grew by 62% and LinkedIn grew by 1% bringing the follower base to 5,300 during the campaign period.

Pakistan Cables stall at Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD)Expo, held from August 12 to 14, 2016 at the Karachi Expo Centre.

Pakistan Cables participated in the Jang Home Expo 2016, held from 22nd October to 23rd October, 2016 at the Expo Center Lahore.

Pakistan Cables invited its selected clients to the staging of “Wakeel Sahab”, a comedy play by Natak Brigade on January 5, 2017 at Al-Hamra, Lahore.

Pakistan Cables sponsored Home Fixture 2016 organized by the Lahore University of Management Sciences from 25th-27th November, 2016.
