Thank You for donating to families in need through our

will be remembered forever. We hear from so many clients
that your gifts have made all the difference in their holiday
season and lives, as they move forward. Your generosity

Clarification Regarding the
Cemetery Records Restoration Project:
There seems to be some confusion regarding the
Cemetery Records Form that was recently mailed out. In
general, the more information you can provide the more
helpful, however, we understand that you may not know
the Section or the Plot numbers of your family member’s
gravesites or the date of death, etc.
If you could just provide us with the names of those you
know are buried in St. Patrick’s cemetery and/or who might
have originally purchase the plot, we will do our best to
match it up with our records. Your information is to
validate our information as much as it is to fill in any
missing information. We are also hoping to establish a
current person of contact for these plots.
Thank you in advance for your help.
St. Patrick’s music department is looking for
2 concert style music stands.
If you happen to have one or two and would
be willing to donate them to us, please
contact Dolores Rocha at 413 698-2226 or
Margot at the church office 232-
4427. Thank you.

One was left in the Family Center and we
would like to return it to its rightful
owner. Please stop by or call the Rectory
office if this is your tin. 637-0157.
St. Ann Church recently remodeled a guest bathroom. As a
result, we have removed and stored a standard claw foot tub.
We would now like to sell it. The tub is 60x30x22. There is
also a pedestal sink. Both items are in good
condition. If you or someone you know, is
interested in one or the other, please ask
them to phone Debbie at St. Ann’s Rectory
office, 637-0157 to arrange to see it.
Welcome Fr. Richard Bondi
As many of you have already heard, St. Ann Parish has
been assigned a new resident priest, Rev. Richard Bondi, Fr.
Richard, as he prefers to be called.
A resident priest is just what Msgr. John was to St. Vincent
de Paul before he was assigned as the pastor of our three
parishes. Fr. Richard will reside at St. Ann’s rectory, but he
has diocesan duties that will keep him busy during the day.
You may very well see him from time to time helping out with
Masses, but he is not here as our associate pastor. The
following is a brief introduction from Father Richard:
I thought that the best way for all of you to get to know me
quickly was to write a few words. Born and brought up in
Pittsfield, my family was a member of the former Our Lady of
Mount Carmel Church. All four of my grandparents came
from Italy. I was graduated from St. Joseph Catholic Central
High School in 1966, and from Boston College in 1970 with a
degree in Philosophy and Theology and then, after earning my
Master’s degree in Theology from Mount Saint Mary’s
Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD, I was ordained to the
priesthood in 1974. Since then, I have served as a priest in
parishes up and down the Pioneer Valley as well as having
ministered at UMass, Amherst College, Western New England
University, and Mount Holyoke College. Along the way, I also
earned a Doctor of Ministry degree in Psychology and
Clinical Studies and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology in New
Testament.
From my undergraduate days, I have always loved Sacred
Scripture and it is to this that I have dedicated most of my
study. I love the Liturgy of the Mass as the absolute center of
our faith and have always striven to celebrate it with dignity
and reverence. I also have a sincere devotion to Mary as the
mother of priests. I love classical music and am grateful not
only for the public radio station in Amherst but also for the
great blessing of now being once again in the heart of the rich
cultural area of Lenox and the Berkshires. I love all dogs but
especially Golden Retrievers of whom I have had five so far
(two raised from puppyhood and three senior dogs adopted
from Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue). Shortly I hope to
welcome my fourth senior Golden from YGRR and share him
or her with all of you. Finally, I love south Florida to which
some members of my mother’s family moved many decades
ago and I currently have a home in the town of Ave Maria
near Naples, FL.
I was recently appointed by Bishop Rozanski as the
Chairman of the Diocesan Building Commission with my
residence now being in St. Ann rectory. I thank Msgr.
Bonzagni and the members of the community I have met thus
far for their gracious welcome. I have heard many wonderful
words about the warmth and depth of faith of you and your
parishes and I sincerely look forward to meeting all of you
and assisting in any way that I can in the three associated
churches. It will take me a while to get to know your names so
please be patient. As for myself, I prefer to be addressed
simply as “Father Richard.” Please keep me in your prayers
as I begin this new chapter in my life and be assured of my
prayers for all of you. -Fr. Richard
