Bio: For over 20 years, Allison Rees has taught LIFE Seminar courses to parents from all family situations. Her courses have been attended by thousands of parents and have changed people’s lives profoundly. She has co-authored two books, “Sidestepping the Power Struggle” and “The Parent Child Connection.” Allison’s articles and monthly “Cut It Outs” regularly appear in Parenting Today, the Times Colonist, and Island Parent Magazine. She takes a no nonsense approach to teaching, which takes the guess work out of parenting. “How we parent today has an impact on our child’s future self.”

Creating Healthy Family Boundaries with Dr. Allison Rees

Winning Co-Operation with Effective Communication

Date: Monday, May 2, 2016 Time: 6:30pm-8:30pm Location: The Learning Centre, Queen Margaret’s School Cost: FREE RSVP: [email protected] (Seats are limited, please register early to avoid disappointment.)

We invite QMS Parents and Guardians to a parenting workshop. Dr. Rees will focus on family boundaries and how these invisible lines can separate us or bring us together. Dr. Rees believes that when we take over our children’s responsibilities, we are crossing specific boundaries and interfering with their learning. Don’t let personal fears interfere with your parenting, depriving our kids of taking normal, healthy risks. How do we find balance? How do we avoid over-indulging? How can we secure the true meaning of respect in our families which really means having boundary clarity? We invite you to explore these questions with Dr. Rees and other QMS parents.
