How do FloodSax work?The semi-porous inner liner of a FloodSax sandbag contains hundreds of super absorbent crystals, which upon contact with water absorb up to 90% capacity within 3 minutes. The crystals then retain the water and the bag acts just like a traditional sandbag, keeping water at bay.

Compact

A bag of FloodSax is only a few centimetres thick and weighs just 4 kilograms. Due to their compact nature, FloodSax are easy to store, so you’ll be ready for any water related incident that may occur.

A regular sandbag weighs over 10 kilograms! When contrasted with a FloodSax weighing less than a kilogram (before being energised) it’s easy to see FloodSax are the obvious choice for the elderly and those unable to manage traditional sandbags.

Ease of Use

Using a traditional sandbag requires many steps: you must get the bags, procure the sand, fill the bags and finally stack to direct water flow. When using FloodSax, you simply open the bag, energise the sack using floodwater, and then stack. FloodSax require less muscle and are a much cleaner alternative to regular sandbags, making them perfect for commercial and residential use, including hospitals, shopping centres and aged and child-care facilities.

Versatility

FloodSax can be used to soak up water, prevent water from entering doorways and also divert floodwater like a regular sandbag.
