DAREN SCOTT (Crumpet the Elf): NVA Ensemble Member. Member of Actors Equity Association.Previous shows for New Village Arts include Be Aggressive, Humble Boy, Three Sisters, Crimes of theHeart, A Lie Of The Mind, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. For Cygnet Theatre, Daren has appearedin Love Song, The Invention Of Love, Biedermann And The Firebugs, Las Meninas and has alsoperformed Shakespeare in Old Town for Cygnet's education program. Most notable shows forDiversionary Theatre include Execution Of Justice and A Bright Room Called Day (co-produced withBackyard Productions). Other San Diego experience includes the West Coast premieres

of Closer (Backyard Productions), Stop Kiss (Womens Rep), and Fit To Be Tied (ElephantProductions), and the highly acclaimed Of Mice And Men (with ensemble memberJoshua Everett Johnson) for Renaissance Theatre Company and Frankie And Johnny In The Claire DeLune for Vantage Theatre (directed by DJ Sullivan) . He was a regular recurring character on FashionHouse (Fox) and last year was a co-star on The Ex List (CBS). In addition to his work on stage, Darenis one of the most accomplished theatre photographers in town and has shot photos for NVA, Cygnetand Diversionary, among others, including his own publicity shots forThe Santaland Diaries. Darenwould like to send much love and thanks to his director Kristianne Kurner and everyone who worked onSantaland, a special thank you to coach/Ma OJ Sullivan, and of course to Michael Barnett, who makesit all possible. DAVID SEDARIS (Playwright): David Sedaris has gained an international audience for his topselling books and collections of stories such as Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, MeTalk Pretty One Day and Naked. He was nominated for a Grammy for the category "BestSpoken Word Album" for Dress Your Family in Corduroy & Denim. He and his sister AmySedaris are an explosively funny collaborative team who write under the moniker "The Talent

Family". Many of their works were produced in New York City at The Drama Department and atthe Lincoln Center. Brother and sister have created plays like The Book of Liz, Stump theHost as well as One Woman Shoe, an Obie Award-winning play. David Sedaris has also wonseveral awards on his solo material, including the Thurber Prize for American Humor. Timemagazine in 2001 honored him with the title of Humorist of the Year.

KRISTIANNE KURNER (Director): NVA Ensemble Member. Kristianne is a founder and the

Executive Artistic Director of New Village Arts, where she has directed Be Aggressive,

Bulrusher, Humble Boy, True West, Sailor's Song, The Waverly Gallery, Still Life and Orphansand co-directed The Playboy of the Western World, The Two Gentlemen of Verona and A Lie

of the Mind. She has been seen on the NVA stages many times, most recently as Germaine inPicasso at the Lapin Agile and Brenda in Four Dogs and a Bone. Her work has receivednumerous awards, including San Diego Theatre Critics Circle and Patte Awards for TheatreExcellence, and her production of John Patrick Shanley's Sailor's Song was named one of thebest productions of both 2007 and 2008 by San Diego Magazine. Eduction: BFA Theatre, TheCollege of William & Mary; MFA Acting, the Actors Studio/New School.

TIM WALLACE (Scenic Designer): Tim is NVA's resident set designer. NVA: Picasso at the

Lapin Agile, Time Flies, Four Dogs and a Bone, Be Aggressive, Golden Boy; Scripps Ranch:Holiday Memories, Shadowbox, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Backyard Productions: Hysterical

Blindness. Tim has enjoyed a 19 year career with the San Diego Opera painting scenery forproductions that have traveled around the world.

KATE STALLONS (Costume Design): Kate graduated from Fashion Careers College with a major incostume design. Her debut as a designer at the San Diego REPertory Theatre came with the Fritz Blitz'production of Hair, and she has since collected design credits including Ion Theatre's MaratlSade,Pirates of Point Lama with director and theatre critic Welton Jones, and Long Story Short for the San

Diego REP's 2009-2010 season, all the while fulfilling her duties as their costume shop manager. Kate'swork can be seen next in SCPA's production of The Yel/ow Boat and Diversionary Theatre's Speech &Debate.

ADAM BRICK (Sound Design): NVA Ensemble Member. Adam has been an Audio Engineer for tenyears. He records local bands at his studio, Brickhouse Recordings Studios in Oceanside, and runsaudio for local and national concerts and conventions. Previous sound designs for NVA include FourDogs and a Bone, Bulrusher, Off the Ground, Fool For Love, Sailor's Song, The Complete Works ofWilliam Shakespeare (Abridged), This is Our Youth, True West, Crimes of the Heart and ThreeSisters.

BONNIE DURBEN (Properties Design): Bonnie is the resident props designer for NVA. PreviousNVA shows include: Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Things We Want, Time Flies, Sure Thing, JuliusCaesar, Four Dogs and a Bone. CYGNET THEATRE: It's a Wonderful Life, Bed and Sofa, Noises Offand Hedwig. NCRT: Don't Dress for Dinner, Over the Tavern.

SAM SHERMAN (Stage Manager): Sam is the Production Manager at NVA. He hails from Carlsbadand is currently a student at MiraCosta College. He has had the privilege of working on-stage and off­

stage with Moonlight Stage Productions, MiraCosta College Theatre, Guajome Park Academy andmost recently New Village Arts. Favorite productions include: Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Four Dogs

and a Bone, Be Aggressive, Off the Ground, Ragtime, Once Upon a Mattress, and Blithe Spirit. Sam ishonored to be back working with NVA this season!

ANTHONY PHIFER (Assistant Stage Manager): Anthony is a stage technician as well as an actor,currently studying theatre at MiraCosta College. Stage Management credits include Picasso at the

Lapin Agile (ASM, NVA), Distracted (MCC) and Anna in the Tropics (MCC).
