EXPO SCHOOL PROGRAMMEWorld Expos are extraordinary mega events that celebrate human ingenuity, global collaboration, and collective solutions to global challenges. Expo 2020 Dubai will continue this tradition with the latest ideas that can power a vision of a better future. A historic milestone for the region, Expo 2020 is the first World Expo held in the MEASA region and coincides with the UAE’s Golden Jubilee, celebrating our nation’s achievements over fifty years.

The Expo School Programme is committed to ensuring that school students are an important part of this incredible World Expo. With an entire team dedicated to serving the UAE’s schools across seven Emirates, the Expo School Programme engages with the UAE’s school community, inviting them to join the making of a new world, a world without boundaries, a world filled with hope and optimism.

Through the theme of “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,” we aim to make Expo 2020 a meaningful, fun and memorable experience for students and educators. More than 190+ country pavilions, partner and organization pavilions will converge at Expo 2020, each showcasing achievements, innovations and aspirations to create a brighter future. Enjoy unique immersive experiences, discover a world of limitless connections, and experience the diversity of the world’s cultures across three vibrant Districts: Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity.

Our free tickets, exclusive to UAE schools, offer students access to four exciting journeys across the UAE Pavilion and three vibrant Districts - Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity. Immerse yourself in the nation’s breathtaking story, its astonishing progress, its rich culture, as well as the vision of its leaders and their ambitious plans for the future.

Students will explore different perspectives of the UAE’s rich history either through the UAE Pavilion, a mesmerizing and inspiring space designed in the shape of a falcon in flight, or Sameem, an immersive and emotional space where they will learn about finding potential beyond what is visible.

This journey also includes a variety of pavilions and experiences designed to offer students a truly unique, educational and immersive experience.

COUNTRY PAVILIONSExpo 2020 welcomes more than 190+ countries to share their vision of the future. With stunning pavilions across three Districts, explore global perspectives around sustainability, mobility and opportunity. Our school journeys include a visit to at least one country pavilion. Here are some examples of what you might see:

SAUDI ARABIA PAVILIONBalancing rich heritage and natural wonders with the energy, creativity and innovativeness of its people, the pavilion will demonstrate how Saudi Arabia is shaping both its own and the world’s future.

PERU PAVILIONTravel on an emotional and sensory journey to explore Peru. Taste the Peruvian superfoods that are changing humanity’s future, and see the real-time construction of the last Inca bridge, which is woven every year in Cusco.

PHILIPPINES PAVILION The natural, organic shape of the Bangkóta (coral reef) of the pavilion draws you into defined, free-flowing, open spaces, reflecting a culture that embraces openness, meaningful encounters, and connectivity.

BRAZIL PAVILION Discover the incredible diversity, from flora and fauna to arts and culture. The pavilion recreates the Amazon basin, taking in the sights, sounds and scents of Brazil’s riverside areas.

school’s journey.

PRE-VISIT• Schools must ensure that the visiting students are symptom

free of COVID-19 before they board the buses on the morning of the Expo visit

EXPO TOUR GUIDES AND STAFF• Each school group will be allocated 1 tour guide for the duration

of their visit• All Expo tour guides and staff members are required to be

vaccinated, and undergo COVID-19 tests regularly

SOCIAL DISTANCING & MASKS• All visitors aged 6+ and staff are required to wear masks

throughout the duration of the visits• Social distancing measures are implemented as per government

regulations• Within school bubbles, distancing is encouraged between staff and

students based on government regulations

SCHOOL GROUP SIZE• School group sizes are limited to a maximum of 25 students to

maintain social distancing

LUNCH TIME• There are dedicated lunch spaces for school groups only in each district• Lunch spaces consist of tables and benches, and will be setup as per

the distancing regulations set out by government regulations• School groups will be seated together, with distancing between each

group as per the regulations• Sanitization stations are available throughout the Expo site, and

students will be asked to clean their hands before eating

WASHROOMS• All surfaces and shared locations will undergo regular sanitization.
