INFORMATION TO OBTAIN

Each person in a group has different rotation sites with different patients, access etc….

Not all of you will be able to have access or obtain the information required, this will require collaboration, team work etc….

Once the time for rotations is completed on day 1, each group will have time on day 2 to collaborate and decide which disease/ disorder or acute condition or condition’s they wish to utilize for this project.

Each group may use additional resources, and must have 5 valid cited sources included and report in MLA Format.

PHYSIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF ELEMENTS

1. Each group of 4 will obtain a total of 5 different diseases/disorders from their patients at their clinical sites.

2. Once the information is obtained, the group must provide ALL of the signs and symptoms of the each disease.

3. While reverting back to your brain model, identify the elements (from the 10 elements that your group came up with) that are not being met causing the brain to respond a certain way.

SHOCK EXAMPLE

Disease/Disorder: Shock

Sign/Symptom: Increased Heart Rate

Lacking Element: Oxygenated blood to the brain
