Rocky Mountains

The Rocky Mountains in the west and the Appalachian Mountains in the east are two of the largest mountain ranges in North America. The Mojavi Desert and the Sonoran Desert, located in California and New Mexico get little rain. Only few plants can survive the hot and dry climate, for example the cactus plant.
